My new addition to the pack. It's a special edition for 2015 where they come out with different colors for basically a classic player body. This one is cerulean blue, to me it looks like a lighter lake placid blue and it's just gorgeous.
Honestly the color drew me to it first and the fact that I don't have a good rosewood board Strat, and this one is.
They are on sale for 599 from 799 originally. It's interesting that they were so expensive ( for a Mexican made) when it looks like the classic players have better parts than these. Mind you, to me the pickups sound great, and I'm a stickler about that on starts, but in general it seems they tried to sell them just on having interesting colors and failed hence the 200$ price drop. I don't know if these were discussed already on the site but I would like to know what you guys think especially arth and arjay
Anyways it's a great guitar, sounds and plays great and worth the new price with this special color.
By the way the other ones looks great too, they just out right away from the racks, check them out.

Not related to Lake Placid Blue, which is a metallic color. That looks more like an adaptation of Sonic Blue but a skosh brighter. Very pretty.

As near as I can tell, the guitar is a standard Classic 50's Strat. And there's nothing at all wrong with them or their parts. Add a steel trem block and you'll have a friend for life.

Enjoy!

The Classic Player models are fitted with the modern 2-point trem bridge. This is a SE Classic Series Strat, which the GC description does mention.

Very nice looking guitar, I would like to see Fender do more colors than they are currently offering.

+1

For the '50s guitars, Cimarron Red, Desert Sand, and Taos Turquoise.

And for the '60s guitars, Ice Blue Metallic, Ocean Turquoise Metallic, and Shoreline Gold.

Congrats on the new fine looking guitar! That blue sure is a looker and the 60s Classic Series guitars are fine playing instruments. As Arjay stated, replace the trem block and you got a friend for life. I love my CAR 60's Classic Series! I have seen many of these with nice neck figuring like mine in my Avatar.

Enjoy!

Thanks guys, it's definitely appreciated, I can't believe how good the pickups sound, it has the exact Strat sound that I'm looking for.
Having lots of fun.....
