What flack has this guitar had?

Go on any (other than this one )Fender Strat forum and see what I meant.
People are seriously dumping on this guitar!!

As did I. People are saying it's not this and it's not that and the neck profile is wrong and this isn't accurate, that isn't accurate etc. etc.

For goodnes sake, it isn't a 40 year old RH Strat, strung left handed for a start. It obviously isn't a replica; obviously!!!!

I (now) think it is rather cool looking in its own right. There is also the potential for a Hendrixesque tone through the relative inversion of components which could possibly be greater than using a stock r/h guitar right handed.

What ever! It is a reasonable value guitar with a bit of a cool vibe going on. If the people that buy it enjoy playing it, it has achieved its objective.

It isn't a replica, as I doubt any of the MiM signature guitars are. That's why Fender can charge Thousands for a CS version, presumably accurate to every screw head, ding and sweat stain....if that's what floats your boat.

Nice guitar, nice price, nice vibe. Job's a good'n.

Exactly. My very first reaction was "doesn't Fender know that Jimi played a RH Strat backwards and only had it re-strung as if it were a left handed guitar?" Duh, of course they know. It is what it is and unique in it's own way. Besides, who can beat the price?

Congrats on the new guitar! There's just something special about new.
