Given that speaker breakup is a difficult parameter to quantify, I'd posit that it's easier to build that facet of an amp's sonic character into the core software, ie: let the processor do the heavy lifting.

It's a little old for this post, but perhaps it revives a bit. It makes no sense to me that a headphone jack would be incorporated into this amplifier. It has XLR outputs that you can put into a mixing board. From there you get your headphone output. This amp is more for serious players as I read it, the Mustang GTX series has the headphone output. As far as the speakers and modeling. This isn't really a modeling amp in the strictest sense, because you don't have options for sound. It is a Fender Twin Reverb. The speakers are Neodymium versions of the Jensen C12Q and they are lighter. The objective was to cut down weight. Fender wanted the tone quality of guitar speaker amps, not a modeling speaker with a flat response. I think they succeeded. Those who are still into the tubes will always be into the tubes. The rest of us see the potential of this amplifier and embrace it. I love mine!

Yeah... unfortunately every company seems to think it's cool to eliminate the headphone jack. This was the only reason I didn't get one of these. I'm hoping that if I hold out long enough they will release one with the jack in its rightful place. Somehow I think that's wishful thinking though.

I'll bet Fender thought a headphone out works best on a desktop mini amp, and even the Deluxe Reverb Tone Master is a bit too large for desktop use.
The Tone Master does have a Direct Out, including microphone options and speaker compensation. You just need to figure out how to plug that into a headphone gizmo. Not rocket surgery, I'm thinking.

Kinda like "The Corvette is more for serious drivers, the Camaro has the power Windows and doorlocks". Makes all kinds of sense.

Just use an audio interface and connect the headphones. Then you could also connect another audio source for listening to backing tracks while playing. Presonus makes an interface for around $125 that comes with a Studio One license. For someone that is serious about getting started with low volume options:

Add in a copy of Band-in-a-Box, and you have a very cool studio setup without spending a lot of cash.
