The Deluxe in particular could almost load itself into my truck before shows, I think.

It would even fit into a Prius.

You could trade that thirsty rig in, saving $$$ on gas, reducing your carbon footprint, *and* sparing your back.

So now you've got me buying both a new amp and a new car, Arjay?!

If you're gonna go, go big.

That's what I always say.

Hell, you might even squeeze a new guitar in there somehow

For a mere $100.00 more, you get 2 12 inch speakers instead of a single 10 inch speaker, a higher power amp, middle controls on both channels, and tilt back legs.

The Deluxe Reverb, whether a Tone Master or otherwise, features a 12-inch speaker.

I forgot the twin has bright switches too.

Good point, and with the attenuator, still usable at "bedroom" volume.
These aren't like the 135w Silverface Twins where they would peel paint just from the single coil hum.

Yep... When I was 20, I wouldn't have given it a 2nd thought, and I was scrawny.

All great points, but I went ahead and pulled the trigger ... on the Deluxe! Light as a freakin' feather for practices and shows ... and in between those activities I think I'll keep it housed in my office here at HQ ... that attentuator should prove handy here. :-) Might even do a little recording with it here in-office as well particularly when I'm out here on weekends as I am currently. Anyway, I went for it and it's on its way!

Totally understand, I had an opportunity to audition the Deluxe, it sounds great, and is probably more suited to my situation. No chance to audition the Twin, as they didn't have one. Just pointing out some of the differences.

Cheers,

With me it was the reverse - tried the Twin a couple times and it sounded great. Have not actually tried the Deluxe so this is me living dangerously, here. :D

Don't think you're living dangerously, my guess is the Deluxe "dirties up" a little faster on the volume dial. Hope you get a discount being an employee.

My brother and I just recently sold a house 5.8 miles from headquarters. Would have loved to sell it to you, or anyone else at Fender, but that would have been against Forum Rules. But I still haven't pulled the plug on either. At least I have the resources, but I'm not convinced yet.

Cheers,

Rest assured, I couldn't have afforded it anyway. Congrats on the sale, though!
