Just got the Marine Layer today. I have my amp and pedals both connected to a power strip. When I'm done playing, I simply turn off the strip. Now that I've added the Marine Layer, when I do that I now get a significantly loud squeal/pop. Does anyone else have a problem like that? Yes, I can avoid it by turning the amp switch off first and then powering down everything else, but I'm not sure I'd need to. Or, am I missing something obvious for why I shouldn't do that?

How do you feed power to your Reverb; Batterie or no name Wallwart power supply ?

I used the Harmon supply that came with my Digitech Jamman looper. The supply diagram and pedal diagram match, both 9V same polarity, way more current available than the Fender pedal needs. I hadn't bought a supply for the pedal yet since I'm ordering one to power my first pedalboard which I'm just starting to build.

Voltage and polarity is two thing , the third thing we need to know is the ripple voltage of this hammond P.S. and what Marine Layer Rev need.
Is the Hammond P.S is regulated or not ?

More current than Marine need may not be good if Hammond is not regulated.
Wrong P.S may damage your pedal.

Report specs write on Hammond

Try with 9 volts battery

Good question. When I put a 9V battery in it there is no noise when I turn off the power strip. That makes sense because the pedal is no longer hooked up to the AC power strip. To turn the pedal off with the battery you pull the cable out of the input. There is no noise when doing that with the AC power strip turned on.

I also tried it hooked up to a different AC adapter, the one I use for my TC tuner. It has a much less current available compared to the Jamman supply. Same noise happens there.
