i was waiting for the release of what I thought would be the Mustang GTX200, but as you can see, I was disappointed. My thoughts then turned to the actual direction Fender appeared to be taking with the Mustang GTX product line compared to the newer Fender Tone Master Deluxe and Twin Reverbs. I was really ready to upgrade my amp to the Mustang GTX series, but it appears to me that Fender has it in mind to keep the GTX series at the entry/intermediate level and not compete against the newly released Tone Masters. So I wanted a dual speaker amp, period. I opted to move ahead with the Tone Master Twin Reverb in order to get the dual speaker arrangement. It seems to me that Fender has a great product that could have done a ton of things differently in the GTX series, but they didn't. I would have liked to see the dual speaker product, maybe an A/B capability with two GTX amps, etc., etc., etc. I caved and spent double the money for the Tone Master Twin, which I love, by the way, but feel it is a longer term strategy to develop chip based amps at lower price points than the handmade tube amps. So I fell in with Fender's apparent strategy to move us upward from the GTX package into their premiere amp line, albeit in digital format with no programming capabilities. Hey, the new Twin Reverb Tone Master has beautiful sound and I will use it as long as it makes sense to me.

I saw some reviews of the Tone Master and if I had the cash I'd be tempted to buy one of those and put a couple of effects in front of it, rather than buying a GT/GTX. OTOH, I'm coming around to the GTX - having everything I need in one box appeals to me.
