Tone App close without error after Amp registration (last step 3).
Anyone use Oneplus 6 (Android version 9) successfully with Fender Tone App? Fender doesn't answer to my question, what can I do?

Thanks Rino

Hey, I am having a similar problem with an iPhone SE.
During the "creating account" part, the App crashes and when I try to restart it again, the App just crashes immediately.

Just to let you know that the BUG (crash on step 3 on some devices) are know and Fender Tone officially answer to me ... " ... We are ware of this crash and have a fix we are testing now. There should be an update available soon. Please watch for a Tone update....."

So, I (or we) have to wait.....!!!

Hi,

with the last update the Fender Tone for Android (Oneplus 6 OS v. 9 in my case) was fixed. Thanks to Josh and all Fender staff for the support.

Would be nice if 'Josh and all the fender staff' could draw straws,
and the winner (or loser, depending on
one's point of view) would be tasked with supporting
Fender products in their own forums, including
announcements of updates to much ballyhooed projects
like Tone.

I'm guessing that most people who were underwhelmed by Tone,
would be glad to see updates mentioned in the designated forum topic.
Three minutes well spent,
will sway customers on the purchase/or-not,
and sell/keep fences.

It's simply not practical for support staff to try and resolve issues on an open forum. Other manufacturers (Native Instruments, IK Multimedia etc) have "staff" that pseudo-support within the forums, but they often don't have all the answers, or worse provide incorrect or incomplete information that can make things worse. This is a user/enthusiast forum and I would imagine Brad 'moderates' this in his spare time. It would be nice if there were more interaction from Fender on here beyond announcements, but it is what it is.

Companies don't typically account for user feedback in forums to gauge the success of their products, but they do all track support incidents. Speaking in regards to all manufacturer forums, not just Fender, if people would create support tickets as well as forum posts instead of only just venting displeasure on boards it would make more of a difference.

As for my experience with Fender support, I have only great things to say about them. The rep I was working with went well above and beyond to get my issue resolved.

Cheers

Glad you've had quality support from Fender.
Nobody is asking for the nuts and bolts fixit team
to do it in public, but when people spend $250 and up,
and get a broken or incomplete product, it's reasonable
to expect consistant two-way communications in
attempts to make things right. Basic PR and QA practice.

It wouldn't cost more than 20 minutes a day
for Fender's short-straw guy to rub elbows with
the townsfolk.

Why stay away from the forum _they_ created?
(Well, that is a rhetorical question, as someone
in the brass at Fender refuses to support older products
that still work fine, and they can't get the new ones
to do what is promised on the cardboard box they came in
...I suppose that's all a debbiedowner when trying to find someone
to be a Fender rep here. Snowflakes rule until the meltdown

Funny you should cite NI, and IK, as their company sponsored
forums aren't often as useful as 3rd-party forums when discussing
the same topics. Dealing with NI is best done on a landline
to L.A. and IK's Peter/Ryan etc field questions in both public
and their company forums, answering what they can,
while product users often find workarounds among themselves
for things short of recoding the products.
Cheers
