Anyone else experiencing issues with the tuner where it doesn't register till you hit the string hard sometimes several times? It's as tho the signal is really low going to it. Like if your guitar's volume was turned down to 2 or something. Anyone else?

Only time it happened to me I had to turn my volume up to 10 and then it was ok.

When you play a string too softly, a tuner has trouble picking the correct signal. There is lots of other noise it has to cope with, mostly sympathetic vibrations of other strings, and even indeed signal from other strings that you haven't muted, or even accidently struck while tuning.

Make sure you mute all strings with your hand first, especially the one you just tuned, then the tuner will pick up the new one a lot faster.

I understand all that I've been at it since the early 70's and owned more tuners than i care to remember. So tuner idiosyncrasies are second nature to me. It's not that. I should never have to slam a string really hard to get the tuner to register like i have to with this one. I'm just using a pedal tuner now because of this, but if i decide to use the amp for jams I'd rather not have to bring my pedal board just for the tuner when the amp has it's own tuner and there's nothing else on my board i need. So i wanted to see if anyone else is noticing this so that fender can be aware If it's just mine i guess i might have to do a forced update and hope that helps.

Well, my GT100 tuner responds about the same as most other cheap tuners I have tried. Is it only one guitar that it has trouble with? Sometimes a vibrating string on a nut or bridge can confuse tuners.

No, all guitars but they are all vintage output fender. It seems to work ok now but i was messing with it and at one point i pushed the tap to get out of tuner mode and when i did the sound was very low and on a patch thats medium gain it was clean like the input signal was really low. So switched to another patch and back again and the tone was now back. So it seems like when i go to tuner mode sometimes it drops the signal real low, which is what i was saying about how the tuner responds.......like my guitar is turned real low and there's not enough signal for the tuner. But now it's working normal. I will see how it goes hence fourth and hopefully it will keep working as it is now. Definitely some sort of digital glitch tho.
