Can someone explain how to set up a 4 button and a 2 button footswitch together on a gt200 and what feature does it allow access to?

Have you talked with Fender about this? Just curious to hear what they suggest

I think that might be a wasted phone call. All the GT models only support the MS-4 and the new GT version (same MS-4 FS with a new Label). I couldn't stand the MS-4 BankUP/BankDown so I built my own 6 button controller. I posted this last year and it has worked flawlessly. I wish Fender would throw a 6 button FS version together same as I did; it's all hardware, no GT firmware changes. Took both the MS-2 and MS-4 apart. Connected the MS-2 UP DPDT to both QA2 and QA3 to simulate depressing both of those at once to get BANKUP and did the same with MS-2 DOWN DPDT switch to both Mode/Tuner and QA1 for BANKDOWN. It works reliably to move between preset banks in groups of three. Once the Bank is reached I step on the one I want and the preset clicks right in. All I did to put it together as a 6 switch unit was swap the two cases. Insert the MS-2 assembly into MS-4 case then join with the MS-4 assembly that has the MS-2 case. Finish the right side with the input jack. You're done. Go play Live and Tap banks as needed. Every preset I use is lined up so that I don't need more than 4 to 6 bank changes. I found the MS-2 schematic somewhere online but this mod requires advanced wiring and PC board trace cutting skills so it's not for everyone. Works with my EXP-1. Got to have a Volume pedal. If Fender engineered this they could have it do so much more (like 5 QA presets) but my guess is it'd be $100 so maybe that's not a marketable price-point. Who knows but it sure solved my toe-tapping issues live on stage
