I just purchased a GT100 and am trying to update the firmware. I've successfully connected the amp to my wifi (and also to bluetooth). When I follow the instructions for updating the firmware, I get the update screen, but it times out with the error "amplifier update server is unreachable". I've tried to force the update by pressing the encoder button and the signal button, but have the same problem.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this? Thanks in advance for your help!

I've had that happen too. I think it's down to an outage on the server. When I tried later, it worked fine.

There are ways to ensure high availability of a server. Fender, if you'd like help with that, call me.

If it’s been sitting in the warehouse for a while, it may be at a firmware revision less than 1.3.5. Check your firmware revision and if not 1.3.5 or greater, follow the instructions here:

Hope this helps!

This would be my guess. I had the same issue when I first got my GT100 last year. Get a good MicroUSB cable, follow the directions, you'll be up in no time.
