I am seeing references to a v.2 upgrade and was wondering if anyone has any info regarding this upgrade???
I am liking my GT100, but would be quite happy to learn more about any future or in the works upgrades for it.
That brings up another question: Is this upgrade going to be just on new amps or an upgrade for our existing amps?
I am an Android user and have noticed a lack of improvements for Android vs Iphone systems...
My Android now connects to the amp, but still has issues when trying to save changes using my cell phone.
My cell phone meets the suggested requirement for Android.
Looking forward to ant improvements info...

Hi,

All the info that's known on this forum is located in this thread, including a couple links to some YT videos.

It is an upgrade to the current amp. No new purchase needed! To me, the new features sound outstanding. The guys at Fender have worked hard on this. You can certainly tell it too!

One of the things listed for this update was a cloud backup function (all presets). Hopefully that means they have been concentrating on the apps for both platforms. "September-ish" was the time estimate.

I am using an android tablet with the amp. So far, with the updates, it has been rock solid. I have even used the tablet at 3 gigs just to make sure it was solid. It has not let me down yet. I think it is awesome!

NIFFY: I have even used the tablet at 3 gigs???
I must confess, I have no idea what that means, CPU speed?

So you have called up models, made changes to them, then saved changes to them, all while using just your Android tablet???
You then are luckier then me...

If so, I guess that is one of the reasons Fender has not done more updates for Android.
I am not so lucky, With this last update I can now connect to the amp. For me that is a biggie.lol

Still hoping for more...

Oh yeah, I meant I have played three gigs using the tablet to control the amp! I am beta testing and with the app, it has been ROCK STABLE for me. I have been controlling the amp totally from the app itself. I am sorry that I didn't make that clearer.

I must say i'm impressed. I hung onto the GT even tho i bought a katana artist because when i heard about V2 i had to hear it b4 i sold the GT. Glad i did. The overall quality of the tone is still not as real and good as the artist, but the ability to take what quality it DOES have and make much better use of it is off the charts. I can tweak it to far greater degrees and far easier. So far it seems the bassbreaker will be the only new amp model i care about but thats all i need. And so far with very little time spent i've gotten a sound much much better then anything i was able to get from the GT before. So i believe i will be keeping it. The artist isn't in jeopardy of being sold at the moment, but if a different speaker (i still hate that thing) gets me what i think it will with this new sound there's a chance it might be. The thing about the update is not only how much more variable it is but how quickly i'm able to dial it in. And i haven't even investigated any of the switching improvements. Good job fender !!!! This is what it shoulda been in the first place.

One gripe tho....still many functions are wonky as hell when you adjust them. Go super slow on the wheel or else it goes from 0-10 instantly. Why has this never been fixed? Seems like you fix a few of them then other ones go wacky. Not a big gripe but it would be nice and save a lot of time tweaking.

It worked for a bit (Android phone), but kept rebooting the app

- then it insisted another update was AGAIN available

- I downloaded that.

Now there are no more updates available, but the Android app INSISTS there are!

Anyone else having this issue?

As an example, try the treble knob on the BB15. Of course that one you can use the physical knobs and they dont do that. I can't remember which other ones that must be adjusted with the data wheel do it. The delay time on the mono delay i think i recall does it.

Well, all the previous issues with tone app aside, b4 this latest update i was at least able to connect with it to my amp (via BT)...no such luck this time...and I've gone thru all the "remedies" I'm aware of including rebooting amp, my cell (android), app permission, etc. this really really sux cuz I've been looking so forward to being able to back up my patches...It's the single biggest upgrade feature for me...

That IS weird. I have it working on both an Android tablet and an Android phone. No problems with Bluetooth connecting at all... I am sorry!
