I'm giving your GT40 another try here. I've had a week to play around with it since returning the original last May. I still enjoy the way it sounds, but you really need to get that app in order. I know there's been a ton of posts on the subject so I won't regurgitate what's already been said :), but I will ask if any future updates will address the delay time adjustment parameters? My favorite is the Tape Delay but it's default at 1000ms. Unless I'm missing something, getting it down to 420ms requires I tap the damn - button 580 times and that's just ridiculous. There has to be a better way.

Looking forward to the 2.0 update!

Is there some reason you can't just turn the time dial on the amp? Thats how i do it, as i don't use the app. I assume you know this, but then again if you do i can't imagine why would sit there tapping it 500 times on the phone when u can reach over to the amp and turn a dial in the LCD and do it in 2 seconds.

Of course I know that but that's not the point.

That is entirely the point of having an app at all, so you don't have to use the physical knobs.

I get that. I was only suggesting that tapping it 500 times isn't the problem, but that it is far less of a problem than that. Reaching to the amp to be exact. I get why you asked, but that's all i was trying to say. I''ll tell you this tho....after 3 digital amps every one of them has plenty of problems much worse than that which had no solution. At least you DO have one even if it's not convenient. Just sayin...

+1, you want to live on the cutting edge, sometimes it gets uncomfortable. There is always the option of going back to 500 stomp boxes.

I am just saying that the app still needs a lot of work. After a year I was expecting it to be much further along. Like you Oczad, I've also had many modeling amps. Over the last year I think the only one I didn't bring home was the Vox Adio and that was because there were deal killer limitations with the effects, and well, it's ugly... Anyway, there are some mfgs that get it. Line 6 makes a great BT app for their Amplifi line, I just didn't care for the sound of the amp. There is always going to be some form of trade off unfortunately.

I chose to get another GT40 because of the sounds it produces and this time I'm sticking with it because I have other/better gear to cover my recording needs.

My whole points of the post were to A: stimulate a little discussion, and B: micro rant that the app still stinks

I feel I have achieved my objective : )
