Love the gt 100. But I want to use some of my patches on my zoom g3x occassionally, problem is i seem to be doing something wrong as it comes out with an annoying hissing sound. Is there anything i need to do before i can make my zoom g3x work with the gt 100?

Can the zoom patches have the cabinet turned off?

Is the hiss in the GT's headphone output, or just the speaker?

I'm guessing you'll want to use the GT preamp, with a cabinet selection
suited to the zoom patch. Noise gates, low pass filters,
EQ settings on both units, will help, and all involved physical knobs
should be at 7 or lower, even put the units on different
electrical circuits in the location, and use batteries on the zoom
if possible. Does the zoom have a real 'instrument out',
as the Mustang will expect that when receiving input from
the guitar-in jack. If you are using a line-level out
from the zoom, to the GT's 1/8th line-input jack,
you'll bypass the GT's modeling/effects, and have to adjust
things on the zoom side. Try some other gear, like pedals,
synth, cd player etc , to eliminate possible hiss sources
and draw your own conclusions. If the zoom has send/return jacks,
you could send the zoom into the GT's return, might be the
best signal match.

Cheers

Thanks brother. It was the cab setting on my Zoom that was messing everything up. Turned it off, as well as the other settings in the Mustang itself and everything worked.
