saw this at a Reaper forum:

http://www.primovasound.com/

'Speaking of guitar controllers, the Primova MIDX-20
dual usb host gets a positive review in the new
Electronic Musician mag, and they mentioned the
control software works pretty well in 'Wineskin'
which is new to me. (Primova recommended testing
in various window-alternatives, and no mac version exists)
They mention it's internal midi bridge working with
Fender Mustang and Boss Katana usb amps,
and good control of McMillan Softstep2, Boss GP10, Roland GR55,
Roland MBD-1 bass/drum module, and Fishman Triple Play,
and immediate response to analog foot controllers

5pin midi i/o or merge
two bi-directional usb jacks
2 trs jacks for expression pedal, footswitch etc

There is a recessed button that can set things up
without a computer, based on poking it in various combinations
of speed and number, arcade-like, but apparently works.'

So the software is windows-only, (or some wine-variant)
and no mac version.

Primova appear to have moved up from their
more humble beginnings, and that should mean
our usb Mustangs can have some much desired new life.
$185 for the MIDX-20

Are you sure it works with Mustang GT too?

I'm guessing not, or at least it doesn't say so here:

"Works with, but not limited to:
Roland/Boss devices: MS-3, GT-1, GT-10, GT-100, GT-001, GP-10, VG-99, SY-300, GR-55
Amplifiers: All Katana Amps,Fender Mustang I,II,III or IV (including V2 series)
Expr. Pedals/Footswitches: Roland EV-5, Boss FS-6, Boss FS-7 (or compatible)"

It's a great idea but the implementation is sloppy IMO. Way too many wires involved. Fender made the footswitch proprietary so you are stuck buying their controller as the only option. That's the only explanation that makes sense. They certainly didn't improve on MIDI.

The guy who developed it said a while back he doesn't have GT to R&D it so he doesn't know if the GT would even be capable. So no, at least not when he said that not too long ago.

Not sure what you mean, there are three pairs of standard ports,
to supply different functionality, what wires?
Cheers
