Once dismissed, it should not return for the duration of the session.
I mean, after 5 times, it's getting pretty freaking ridiculous.
A lousy web experience won't help sales, and disrespects your customers.

If u use firefox or any browser that supports it, try the "yesscript" addon. It puts a little icon on the task bar and any site that has things like this u can just click the icon and it turns brown meaning it;s not allowing scrips to run. It will always be in that mode whenever you return to the site. In other words, it remembers it;s setting on any given site. I don't get those annoying ads here because of that. On some sites it will also stop things you want like some forums it stops use of text formatting when you write a post, but just click on it and refresh the page to disable it. Very usefull addon i've been using for years.

Agreed. I suggestedin this thread that maybe it could pop on the new user registration page only, as all the forum regular members (and anyone else who joined the forum in the last half year) have surely seen the popup many times.

Thanks for the feedback, and I'm passing this along. I'd best not say anything about my own feelings re: the popups. :D
