A couple people asked me about the GT and I told them to stay a thousand miles away from it and look elsewhere. I was a big supporter of the Mustang II but my ship has sailed.

It depends what they are looking for in an amp. These probably pair well with a home recording setup. I just think they unfortunately broke the "gigability" of the amp series. I would absolutely trust a v1 or v2 Mustang for live performance. I used a v1 amp for many gigs over many years, it held up fine, just as well as my solid state Ultimate Reverb amp.

The GT series seems to live a little too much in the cloud for my liking. At least figure out how to provide a cloud backup. Or better yet a local backup. My understanding is neither is currently available. Is that still the case?
