That sounds good, but don't forget to try the freidman too. I like it a lot more then the 800 when it comes to volume knob clean up. I agree the mythic drive works well. I use it as a clean boost for all my patches for those moments where i want total sing.

Oh, and don't forget the cabs. Probably the biggest reason the 800 sounds they way it does even more then the model itself is the default cab. If you like that patch and intend to use it live, i'd recommend trying both the bassbreaker and Friedman using the same 412/75w cab as u r using with the 800. Make patches with each then test all of them at the gig. You may well find one of the other models works better live. Thats one reason i dislike the stock speaker. When you turn it up in a band mix it's so different and never as good. I get more consistent results from patches made at home then trying them in the band setting.

I've got a lot of experimenting to do which is part of the fun, on the Brit 80 model I used the 4x12B Greenback model which i like with the marshall tone but will try others as well. Having a blast with the looper it works great for jamming and practicing leads.

Ahh, ok. Thats the cab i use for most things myself. But that 75w cab could be something to try if you go to a gig or rehearsal and find the sound or feel to be stiff or harsh. It has a softer edge that might help there. I only jam with buddies on occasion so i have little chance to experiment in a band setting, so it takes me forever to figure out how to get the best from this amp. I was going to try that cab last time but i got a good sound from the get go so i never got around to it. But I believe rolling those different cabs at a gig could be a lifesaver in some rooms.
I rarely use the looper because i forget it's even there but yes, it's a good tool for practicing w/o having to run some music.

Here is a little sound sample i recorded with my digital recorder and at about 49 seconds i kick in the drive pedal, so far the amp is running smoothly I also hooked up the foot switch. I think this patch will cut nicely in a band mix.

Nice! I'm wondering what that patch would sound like if you turned the treble down. Like take maybe 25% of that treble away. It sounds good when you back off the volume on the guitar, but it's taking over when you have the volume knob all the way up.

He may be just right in a band mix tho, as i find with the GT i think even more then other amps is i always end up with a of of treble to cut thru. So what sounds like it's bright by itself end up just right in a mix. What happens with mine is i try and tweak the amp to the room and when we start playing i always have to reach over and brighten it up. I never really noticed that with my tube amps, but then those don't allow you to save a patch so i never noticed where the knobs were at home vs a gig.

Well ended up returning the amp, I got some nice crunchy amp tones but funny thing I did not like the cleaner amp tones. Anyway its a cool amp but compared to my Modified Blues Junior IV and using pedals it doesn't come close!!

Love the tone in the sound sample! Mind sharing all the settings? I'd like to try it out.
