Hi,

if I am not completely wrong then the Mustang GT's firmware should be portable to run also on a desktop computer. It would be great if Fender would offer this as well, so that you can plug your guitar into your computer via a a audio interface and fire up Logic Pro, MainStage or even GarageBand with a Mustang GT AudioUnit.
This would be an ideal solution for home practise.

Alternatively, I would also be happy with just a small, pocket-size Mustang GT that has no speaker, but an USB port, headphone jack and possibly a SPDIF port (for hooking it up to my home cinema).

I currently own a GT 40 and love it for home use. But since I am playing in different rooms, I also use an Apogee Jam and Guitar Rig Pro with my MacBook to be able to quickly roam around. Even on business trips, I simply pack my guitar, Jam and headphones to be able to practise in hotels.

Best,

Roadrunner
