So I got home tonight and noticed, that I had a preset i didn’t know about with no amp or can just preamp An pedal chain An it’s sounds great I’m
Somewhat surprised An have not used just the preamp with a chain before? Anyone else done this

Also if the GT sounds like the amp of my dreams through my nice set of studio headphones, does that really signify that if I changed the speaker I would get more on a vintage tone... just curious the headphone out with good set of head phone I have the ATH-M40s I believe they are a true flat eq reapsone as to the others there’s was Moreno bass really I didn’t need that but if my gt sounded like it does when I plug Into these headphones live I woudnt want another amp An if a speaker swap would matter at all in that area then its worth it bt I’m not tech savvy enough to know what headphones speakers are An how they differ... if I were to plug in directly from then xlr to xlr to pa Speakers would I get a similar or effect a song I do when I listen through these headphones.. or could any one explain if there is a way to get the quality I hear in my headset to sound that way live.. if it’s then speaker An the headphones prove that then good bye stock speaker but it makes me wonder what make the headphones sound so goodnight they have to Be geared toward like the speaker the GT right?

Hi
A brief response in order.....
No
No
I don't understand the 3rd question, and
I don't think so

You need to try for yourself and be guided by your ears and personal preference......

Cheers
Neil

Sorry if I was confusing in my phrasing, I am wondering why the GT amp sounds so amazing through headphones and then out loud in live setting the close you are to the max volume the worse the amp sounds, atleast in my experiences, Its made me wonder by using headphones is that bypassing the speaker? "I assuming yes being the signal is coming through the headphones" And by bypassing the speaker I am getting a better sounding amp when the headphones plugged in. I am not tech smart enough to know how preamps relate to speakers in headphones and I am assuming the speakers in headphones are built somewhat similar to the stock speaker in the GT? cause I would guess you want headphones to have that solid home stereo feel to them which is what the stock speaker in the GT is mostly compared to, that of a Bluetooth speaker vs a guitar speaker.

I do not know why the GT would sound better through my headphones but if the sound I currently get from my headset can be achieved playing the GT out loud through swapping speakers then I think keeping the amp and a speaker swap would be well worth the money. I just cant explain why when playing through headphones the amp sounds like one of the best ive ever played then when unplugged out loud it changes, is the speaker really hindering the software that much? Cuz I think we can all agree the software in the GT blows the IIIv2 out of the water, ive owned both and that's just my opinion but yet people love the III but hate the GT its mind boggling if you really like this amp which I do. I traded in my IIIv2 "special edition red :( for GT first week it came out" so I guess im still just trying to grasp at any way to make this amp an live giggin beast that I think it can be...but the headphone thing confuses me....ive seen others comment on this but not get much info on this anomaly
