This is the beginning for Fender to use a bidirectional, digital "2-wire", also feeding the LEDs of the MGT with it.

New software likes to stick in loops, the programmer couldn't figure out before.

What makes me feel sad is, that fender gives up any public use of the MGT-4, if they don't fix this problem.

But I came back to my thread, because I don't have much inspiration to check it now. So I wait for someone to shout: "yes, now it works flawlessly for the whole night".

Actually it's the same exact pedal from the last 2 generations of Mustang amps with different labels for the buttons. In fact, they made magnetic overlays for the MS-4 so you can use it with Mustang GT instead of buying another pedal. Same pedal, same wire. And the v1 and v2 amps did not have this problem afaik.

Updated my firmware to .37. I have not noticed the issue after doing so. That may have cured it!

Sounds good, how long did you test?

Sorry, I've never heard about magnetic overlays?

Two full live shows so far and no issues.

It's one of the 4 'sticky' threads in this forum. LINK

I have had no issue's with the Mgt4 pedal but I'm glad am not the only one with EXP 1 pedal problems. On my second one and still can not get a decent overdrive reverb fuzz or any other expression tone with it. I call fender and all I get is we would have to be there to see the problem.
I was on live chat with tech and is soon as I typed ( EXP 1 )
the chat ended and tech was gone.

First rehearsal with no data-issues.

Now I came back to the earlier problem, a smaller foot would be nice. :)

I too often change bank without intending to. But this soon will be gone by practising it.

And on the fly it doesn't matter, if the digits need an additional moment to show the result of your action.
