I took the plunge and purchased a GT100 and MGT4. I have always used tube amps with a pedal board. I'd like to set up the GT100 for gigging. I play mostly classic rock so just need minimal effects. Can anyone recommend how to best set up the GT100 and MGT4 so that I can use the MGT4 to toggle 3 basic effects; delay, chorus and overdrive?
I know the GT100 can do way more stuff but I bought it primarily to reduce the gear I have to carry and set up. Thanks.

What you are describing can be done very easily as long as you are content to only use one amp model. Simple choose your model and make sure that overdrive chorus and delay are the first three effects, regardless of whether they are pre or post amp. Then press the left button on the MGT4 once to go to effects model. The other three buttons will control the effects. You can have more effects, such as reverb, but only the first three will be footswitchable.

You can still switch amp models, but you will need to use the left button to toggle between amp and effects mode. You will need to add the effects to each model. Many people feel this gets too error prone in a gig situation.

Get used, to live in a bank with three sounds, like 001, 002, 003, which may only differ in your preferred effects.

Thanks folks. Very helpful. Got it set up with 3 presets and 3 effects per preset. I really like this amp so far!
