Just curious what fender and the GT support team have in store for us with the next update, the last one was so good!! Now I am anxious to see where fender takes it from here.

There are two big items on my list that I think Fender needs to address:

First, save / restore / reorder presets.
Second, properly support the iPad's interface instead relying on a scaled iPhone interface.

There are other items on my wish list - a Klone stomp and a rotary speaker effect being at the top of the list - but they're nowhere near as important as the first two.

I'm with you on the first item. I haven't had any problems with the 'scaled-up phone' on my iPad Mini or Pro. Top of my list is an acoustic guitar amp model. Neither my Martin or Taylor sound good through my GT-100 regardless of the tweaking.

My iPad3 also has no problem, because its appstore doesn't offer the Fender tone app.

For me too, 1st will be local Save/Restore of a preset or of all presets. But not in the cloud.
Reorder presets is already there.

2d is being able to assign the effects/amp to the footswitch buttons and not limited to the firts 3.

But I'm sure that we will receive soon an update. Fender showed in the last months that they listen to their customers ;-)

I actually was able to update my nook to the Andriod 7.0 nougat, and its runs pretty well, I wish I could somehow get it to run better its a little laggy the files it took up a little space which may be why, my I phone is the 6s and it does a great job staying connected during long period on not being used and connects fast by just opening the app. Its a bummer tho cause that screen is to small for onstage to trust turning things off and on an changing presets. The Nook is doing okay does anyone else with Andriod products have this issue with the app still just being slow and glitchy? I am happy it works cause the nook HD+ was a great piece of equipment and still us, the screen is great and big, which allows for the app to be more wide open then closed corners with the phone, you can easily hit to buttons at once accidently with a phone. So now im stuck on what to do, I really don't want to buy an ipad for just the GT, but it seems like if I wana use the GT onstage and have the options to use all the features I need to get apple. But it does seem like the tablets are slower then the phones with the app, I guess it could be the bigger screen messing with it. I am going to hold off as long as I can on selling the GT cause fender has brought this amp such a long way. But if I cant use all it has to offer an trust it to work on stage then idk if I can keep it. its a pain cause once it disconnects, I have to go to Bluetooth screen of android connect it and then connect the Blue tooth from app. So on stage in the moment might not be the best situation. Im hoping the next update can keep improving this.

If not I may have to go back to the tube amps, I really like the blues jr nos, but I love all the FX I get on the GT so I sacrifice tone for all those stomps an fx, but the pod by line 6 doesn't look bad to have then use that with a blues jt. But I was told by a couple shops the GT can get the almost the same tone as the Hot Rods, and Blues Jrs so im a little unsure which amp I want to be the amp.

For the money you might lose selling the GT, you might find
a used SpiderV 30 amp, for which there is a Line6 computer-based editor,
and have an expanded arsenal.

Congrats on your Nook exploits! I wonder if there are services,
security settings, or auto-starting apps, that lessen your throughput?
Fender would do well to grab used Nook and Kindle models, and whatever
is the best-selling clone android tablet, and deliver a consise how-to for
setup and use.
Cheers

Considering the fiasco on launch day, it was either that, or listen to their customer's lawyers
