One of Fender's top competitors has just released
an update for their pc/mac editor for their latest line of amps.

I do hope Fender will follow suit. Better late than never,
would be a huge understatement in this case.

Some cite slowing sales of computers, as defence for
ignoring them in favor of apps for tiny computers sold as phones/tablets,
but the computer sales slowdown is driven by the fact that modern computers
have hit the speed ceiling, people rarely need faster computers,
so are not replacing them every two or three years.

While some guitarists are happy with phone/tablet use,
many also use a full-screen computer/plugin based daw software,
and/or standalone amp-sim software. My vote would be
to overtake and crush the competition, rather than see
a great product line like Mustang amps,
diminished in comparative value, by lack of competitive product support.

dos centavos...

I think they will because a rep told me they were looking into it a couple months ago. But realize that with all the issues the amp had there were more important things to work on and as we have been seeing they have been fixing and adding a lot of things. So i believe the PC app has just been one of many things on the agenda but has had to wait in line due to order of priority. They may or may not but they are looking at the possibility i'm told. So i guess it's a matter of whether they can even do it since the USB wasn't implemented for that purpose. But if they can i think they will. Personally while i;d like a way to save presets, thats all i would need it for and since i tend to only use 2 or 3 patches i don't feel itl;s real important because i can write my settings in a text file in about 2 minute. If i have 3 patches, thats 6 minutes and i;m not likely to need to do that often. But i still hope they come thru for everyone else, and judging from how well they listened to us in the last update i think they will.

There's no money in silence. If Fender are serious about udating Fuse,
or even coding a replacement from scratch as needs may be,
declare the intent, one way or the other, as they did for fixing the Tone rollout.
Put it in the 'consumer confidence' category.
Cheers

Give them time. The issue here now isn't so much whether but when. Their fault was in releasing a amp with a million issues, but they have now shown they ARE listening and ARE doing something about all these things. But you can't expect it all to be done at once with so many issues. So i wouldn't fault them on this just yet because the did say they were looking at doing it but with all they've done so far it's obvious they've been very busy, and with priorities. Like I said above, while a PC would be great and for some important, it's certainly not a priority compared to the amp working and sounding right which are what they have been doing in the upgrades so far. While it's a PITA to do it, the PC app for saving presets CAN be done with a pencil and paper if need be, fixing tone and feature issues cannot. Priorities. Give them a chance. They've now proven they're listening but with so many things to address they can't do it all at once. I was starting to feel like you but they have listened when i thought they weren't so i am giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Competitors have editors, Fender chose to let Fuse die,
and not to make an editor for the GT series. Reversing those
decisions would benefit old, recent, and new customers.
And announcing their intent, would help customers create plans,
for future purchases, one way or another. If you bought a used competing
amp, I'll bet you could use their computer based editors to make a complex preset
from scratch, then transpose the results to a Fender, faster than making
a preset of similar complexity from scratch, using Tone by itself.
Cheers
