So how has the eq beeen treating most of you guys? I think it’s literally the hail marry for the win .. so where are you guys placing it in your chain for The best results? Anyone stacking them on both ends of chain? It kinda sucks we have to use them as a pedal on the effect chain it would be cool if you could jsut have he choice to run the EQs without having to give up chain space it limits the choices a little but I’m not guna complain cuz I love the EQs, hopefully i lm not the only one that’s gotten much more quality tone from it? Let’s here how you guys are setting up some of your stuff?

Personally, i will use them for 2 reasons. One, at jams or the rare gig to remove any tonal issues that can happen at stage volume, and two, as a volume boost. There was no good way to get a simple 8 or 10% volume boost before, but an EQ works perfectly for this. So each patch will have a parametric EQ right after th amp with everything at 0 excelt the gain which is set to about 3. I will need to try it in a band context to be sure 3 is where i want it but should be abut right. I leave the footswitch on effects mode all the time since i generally use on patch all nite anyways. So now i have switches for a volume boost, stomp on/off, and modulation on off. I basically use a slight delay that stays on always and chorus i use occasionally and thats about it with rare exception. So i arrange it so the 3 things i need switchable are always on one of the 1/2/3 buttons. Then i will add another EQ, probably the GE7 art the very end of the line as a corrections EQ for stage levels. Next time out i will see just how well that works, but it fixed issues i had with the MIII using a cheap outboard EQ perfectly, and that amp was much worse at stage volume. Not even sure i will need it once i decide which speaker setup works best. It takes a lot of time tho because i no longer play in a band context regularly, maybe once every couple months. So it's taking me forever to figure out what works best.

By the way, if Brad or anyone else from fender is reading, how about a update that contains the ability to assign each effect to a given button? I have come to realize that Its going to be impossible to have many different patches with different effects and order without the button assignments changing and having to try and remember which button is for what. I'll start another post for that, but seems like a necessity.

SO are you using two eqs in your chain one as a boost an one as a tone fix? Sorry I misunderstood... I def really love how the eqs make them
Louder but the do NOT lose tone when using the eq to crank the speaker. This speaker isn’t half bad now it can Be properly pushed but I’m still
Torn I’m just still using the GT 100
On a 65 twin patch with the different cab for cleans with the eq
And ABY to the orange crush amp for
Higher gain I “think”in a band and live show contest the GT should now
Be able to be dialed if almost just as good as any tubed amp, no I do not think the GT sounds better then tubed cleans.... however it’s close
Enough so close that the money for differences for a tubed combo vs this.... you gota go with the Gt if you are like me musician on budget.
Live so far it has done okay it was a small venue so Lower volume
Heped the gt...but I even think in the Y setting having the GT An crush running the same time two non tubed amps will make them easier to dial in one creamy clean tone.... the orange speakers so full of lows I prob need to have a preset for the GT just for when
I combine through the Y eq the fender speaker to blend with orange hell I might leave The y clean channel on all the time although whn I went back to let’s say orange for a distortion part wouldn’t that make orange sound way smaller?hhhhmmmm i guess
If I get a good ABY pedal like Radial twin city it’ll have the spearkes in phase with one another.... I use morely right now but I get Tone suck and it pops when switching when turned up on amps when using low volumes however i works great to bad cuz the Radial pedals ain’t cheap it would all been nice if Morley could
Been the one but if you are counting on blending two amps lik I am live best pay up to assure quality tone is preserved, and no pop or volume drop...

Ozcad please let me know how your speaker swapping is going the band isn’t gigging taking a break from
It for a few weeks so I’m using this time
To really dive into this GT an see if I can Be one of the first gigging musician praising the GT hahah jk... but really would love to continue hearing what speakers you have treid how they compared to the stock one now we have eqs and if the swap is a must do to have This amp Be reliable gigging amp
