I have a new one for you guys. The Bassman amp and fender defaults didn't sound nice to me at all so I tried to eq it to my ear. I love the sound I got works at all volume levels. Slap on the overdrive for a great dirty tone and the delay for any soloing on top. Sounds juicy with lots of bassman low end. You can download here if you use the tone amp or you can follow the settings below
https://www.fender.com/tone/presets/bas ... 1087289356

Amp: 59' Bassman
-gain = 3.3
-volume = 10
-Treble = 6.3
-middle = 6.8
-Bass = 4.1
-presence = 4.8
Bright channel = 50%
Cabinet = supersonic 2-12
Noise gate = off
Tube bias = 20

OrangeBox Distortion
Level = 4.6
Distortion = 0
Tone = 5.5

Stereo Tape Delay
WetLvl = 5.5
Feedback = 3.2
WowLevel = 5.5
Stereo = 7.2

POST AMP
EQ7 Graphic
100 = 7.0
200 = 1.5
400 = 1.0
800 = 2.0
1.6k = 1.5
3.2k = -2.5
6.4k = -4.0
Gain = 0

Let me know how you guys like it, suits my ear well

By the way, i use vintage output single coils so adjust as needed. Even with vintage single coils it's still a bit too hot to get real real clean, but i do that because if you adjust the gain much lower, those in between distortion tones aren't quite as good, and i live there a lot of the time. So i'd rather kick the stomp off if i need cleaner, tho for classic rock i rarely need any cleaner than it gets with the guitar on 3-5 with the stomp on.

Whoo hoo! Yeah, hope this type of thread starts becoming the norm 'round these parts. :D

Well, as long as fender keeps doing the right thing i;m sure it will. All we wanted was a better sounding MIII but not with all the missing features that the GT is finally getting. Now that fender is listening theres gonna be a lot more positivity no doubt. I've had this amp what.....5 months i guess? Since the day it debuted. And untill that EQ update i couldn't get the brit 70's to compare favorably with my main bassman patch. Now i think it may be better. I've said it all along that the amp is desperate for a assignable EQ. And not just for the EQ function but as a transparent volume boost to even out low volume models or cabs or for a volume boost for solos or any number of fixes. It's an indispensable utility that made my jaw hit the floor when i saw fender finally gave in and added not one but THREE ! Tho not sure the 5 band is even necassary when the 7 is great and a para can hone in on a frequency you need to get to that the GEQ is missing. But i ain't complaining ! :mrgreen:

I actually agree here, those of us who traded their Mustang IIIv2 for the GT, and had the GT the first week have had their share of waiting and troubles with functionality. I always knew the programming was better and all the FX sounded ssssooo much better right off the batt. Modulation pedals I think they have gotten it down digitally, distortion is getting there. But anyone who use to complain and did so in constructive way had a point. These amp at first were a complete rip off lets just be real. I don't like fender intended it for it to be this way at all, that's not a business move a titan of the music industry would make. I think fender has done amazing listening to the buyers they deserve a lot of credit it on that front. Most of the updates included things I seen most people asking for so to see a company really trust the word of us common folk lol was pretty cool. They could've scrapped the amp a long time ago, but I think they have made it a long way an have finally gotten it to how they envisioned it should've been in the beginning. The EQs were HUGE as you stated. I love my GT for band prac and home playing, and with it getting better all the time using it for shows is becoming more possible. I wish the footpedal was more extensive. I see a Mustang Gt floor coming in the future if its isn't being designed atleast already. But I will most certainly give credit to fender for putting their ear to the ground an fixing most of the biggest bugs. I just wish the amp could work with other midi pedals, I feel so limited with the footpedal with what this amp offers and a phone on stage isn't big enough screen wise, and buying a tablet or ipad sucks just for the GT, so maybe we will get lucky and they will put out at better pedal add on!!!! That would be so amazing!!!!! but no complaints in this thread fender has done a lot of work and really brought this amp back to more then resettable territory. GREAT JOB GUYS!!

Brad can we expect more big feature add ons in the future? how long and how much updating through firmware does fender plan to do? is there a team that is always working on new features and updates for this amp or is it more of fix the bugs and leave it alone? just curious how many updates and more changes we can expect moving forward. I think the last update did wonders I literally had my amp sold and backed out cuz of the last update!!! Ive been with this amp since the beginning and I aspire to use it live for my shows as long as it can produce a worthy sound. Not dissing tubed amps I still love them, but I think this amp could be an amp that shows digital amps are just as capable as tubed. Like a fender hot rod, or blues jr, doesn't sound that much better than the GT replicating those amps. I would love to continue to use the GT100 as long as I can to show people don't believe everything you hear but trust your ear when it comes to amps!!!!

I love the little wing SRV patch the compression is set in a way I just love. I also found a Jerry Garcia patch im digging. The David Gilmour comfortably numb solo preset is lovely.

hope for more updates an features soon cant wait to see what you guys have instore for us next! follow up the last killer update with another good one!!!!!

Hi,
I've been watching Stevie Ray Vaughan clips on YouTube recently and had a bash at copying his tone. I think it works as a good blues tone anyway, even if I'm a mile off Stevie's!

Simple Compressor - max

Green Box - level 7.8 / gain 3.6 / tone 5.9 / blend 10.0

65 Twin - gain 2.5 / vol 8.4 / treble 6.1 / mid 10.0 / bass 4.9 / bright On / cab 65 Twin / noise gate Super / gate Pre / sag Matched / bias 0.0

Small Room Reverb - level 7.5 / decay 9.2 / dwell 8.6 / diff 7.5 / tone 6.3 / bypass Post

EQ7 Graphic - 100 0.0 / 200 0.0 / 400 0.0 / 800 0.0 / 1.6k 2.0 / 3.2k 2.5 / 6.4k 3.0 / gain 7.0

I'm using a strat on bridge/middle position

PB
