I've been recording USB quite successfully into Windows 10. My question is for monitoring and playback can I use a Scarlett Solo rather than my PC Soundcard (which is pretty poor).

I can configured the Scarlett Solo in my Fender ASIO driver as the 'Out' but get no sound. I'm wondering if having 2 USB sound devices plugged into my PC at the same time is allowed?

I really just want to know if its possible, Thanks!

In case anyone was wondering if this could be done:

My problem was a low quality Windows Laptop soundcard was not really up to the job for recording/playback. I have a Focusrite Scarlett Solo and wanted to use this in conjunction with my Mustang GT.

Most research suggested this couldn't be done but after alot of experimentation:
1. Boot up PC
2. Plug in Focusrite Solo, the under Windows Sound Settings disable the focusrite solo as a recording device.
3. Plug in Mustang GT amp.
4. Make sure th Mustang GT is set as the recording device in Windows Sound Settings
5. Using Fender ASIO set the Mustang as input, Focusrite as output.
6. Fire up my DAW (Reaper).

At this stage I had quite a bit of latency but very clear recordings so I measured the latency using the DAW and applied an offset in its settings.

I can now record my Mustang GT and monitor and playback using the Audio Interface. I hope this helps someone, and can supply more details if needed.

How can I connect my Fender Mustang GT40 to my iPad Air for Garageband recording?
Would a micro USB to lightning cable do it?

Here's a real-world air-pad setup:

https://www.macworld.com/article/245965 ... tudio.html

Heres some links with yet more links from a reputable
manufacturer:

------------------------------------------------------------------

IK has some nice hardware-software bundles!

The HD2 above includes the full version of Amplutube 4, an excellent ampsim-effects app,
which by itself is $75 on sale, or up to $150 full price

There are also generic micro-usb to lightning adaptors out there.
Good luck!

Popcorn, coffee, and eyedrops
