So why is it this amp sound like the most dynamic amp of all time through a solid pair of headphones but outloud thin... im highly debating giving up on the mustang after playing a orange crush Cr30 which sounded so close to a tubed amp it's crazy since it's solid state I may but it for my distortion channel in my rig.. it can be bought pretty cheap I want to do the speaker swap on the gt cuz I wna believe that what I hear through my nice set of studio phones is what I possibly could achieve with a new speaker... but I'm just thinking im finally overwhelmed with this amp after playing at guitar center An coming back to the gt it was like
Phish opening for nickelback at a jam scene venue lol... I can't believe I liked the solid state orange so
Much I've wanted one forever but they are so metal to much for jam but I realized today a solid state orange is like a much more chill better cleans version of the amp with still plenty of punch... for how much the rc30 is brand new for how much the gt100 is An when you stack them next to eachother on basic clean and distortion channels it's over... idc what patch you use now the fender we all know would be doing great with a new speaker my question is how great... An do I trust the firmware updates to keep improving the reps at fender already have changed their tone about a gtv2 is the works sooner then planned cuz of the botched speaker call a lot of people say it's night and say swapping the speakers out I would like to think if I did swap that this mustang would smash the orange crush.. but I'm not so sure... I will say the effects of gt are amazing the modeling is amazing... speaker kills it An the fucntionality i was dissapoiyned to hear the crush sound so good on cleans An distortion cuz i love the gt An want it to be my amp for bands gigs but we are doing solid gig and everyone in the band has a solid pro level amp... I think these orange crushes even the 30
Watt get it done...An they still have the headphone aux slot which is cool cuz I love that feature with the stang... I can't believe a 250
Solid state amp sounded that good cleans an distortion... but then again solid states are being brought back and I've always wanted an orange I love then low end compression of the distortion but the tubed amps made the cleans harsher twangy an to much gain for me in a jam band we get heavy sometimes but a full level below what metal is out there... but the solid stat version of the amp
Was a much more natural chill version of the amp he cleans were solid I still think the gt has got
It beat but it's close but the distortion was really nice on it.. def more low end real punch in the channel i could also see me keeping the mustang gt An running Both amps on Stage
Have the crush be my more higher gain channel... i i just wish I could know ahead of time what the gt would sound like with a solid Speaker id like to believe it would sound better then the crush by a long shot but I just don't think a speaker will
Pack that big of a punch if I'm wrong please some
Tell me cuz I would love to make the gt a more giggable amp An hang in with mix next to tubbed amps

A CD recording of your favorite band will have one sound,
but the same band's sound in a live concert will be very very different,
and far less polished. Similar in scope to the differences you're hearing.
The settings for playing through any speaker, will need to be different
from those used for recording the amp by it's usb or line-out jacks
or monitoring your playing in headphones.

You have an extremely thorough and versatile set of controls
on your Mustang, it takes time and effort to slow down and learn
to use them.

Garages are full of players with maxed-out credit cards,
who never take the time to master whatever excellent tool at hand,
and keep jumping to whatever great new product arrived
in the guitar shop showroom.
Perpetually missing their potential to become a great player/producer,
becoming just another 'power shopper' with lots of good/great gear
but not much in the way of memorable music, to show for it.

Nothing wrong with having multiple amps, but best to aquire them
for reasons other than not having mastered the capabilities
of the one(s) you have. I'm rowing that boat too, and trying
hard not to row in circles!
Cheers

as much as I want to believe that changing the speaker and firmware updates can fix a lot, I just don't think after playing through oranges crush solid state amps, and other tubed amps I can keep the stang Gt . I really wish I knew a person that did the speaker swap so I could hear the actual change in the sound I just don't think I want to risk it not working out adding that to the uncertain future of the GT itself when it seems like Fender will push efforts for the next version of the GT sooner rather then later. It still maybe awhile, but I think for me personally and my situation in that I am looking into finding my rig I will use for the next 2-3 years doing shows and what not the GT just needs to many more adjustments. I wish they would've put the better speaker in, this amp woulda been a steal. But those orange crush amps solid state sound great the tubes have always been to aggressive for my liking on cleans an to metal. But the solid state seems to be the chill version or the fender basssman looks promising, I want a fender with its normal trustworthy leads and minor distortion and then have a little of that orange tight low end crunch.
