I am a longtime user of the Mustang IIIv2. I used it at gigs for years, using the preset mode (locked) of the 4 button switch to change presets and the EXP pedal for volume, wah, and other functions, and the 2 button switch for effects on/off.
I recently got a GT100 and do find it it to be a significant upgrade in tone and love the ability to stack effects pre and post. I knew there would be no 2 button switch and figured I could live with the preset mode of the 4 button. I find out that in order to change banks, I have to press TWO buttons at the same time, and then there are only 3 presets per bank. (with the MIII it was one button bank changes and 10 per bank.).
This literally makes it UNUSABLE for me for live gigging. I know Fender is working out problems on the GT series. Please, restore or create improved functionality for switching presets using the 4 button switch. Until this is improved, I cannot recommend the GT amps to anyone thinking about gigging with one. It is a monster modelling engine with minuscule external controls!

The GT has been nothing but a big mess. I wish I would have returned mine but I didn't so I decided to use it at my music school because all I need is basic presets. As far as a live amp I've moved on from this headache of an amp.

Hi 9fingers.

Leaving aside the MGT-4 issues for the moment, how the hell did you manage to set up the EXP-1 pedal?

I purchased one & it told me to set it up using Fender Fuse, however my PC....which has all the required specs needed....just looks at me with a blank face when I connect the GT-100 & says "Nah mate, ain't no amp connected to Fuse" which refuses to recognize it, hence I can't set up the EXP-1?!?

I have tried every trick I can think of.....& some I couldn't think of.....but to no avail.
The little bugger just won't pick it up?

Any help/advice would be appreciated

Kind Regards

Andy
