I have tried four times to update my firmware to the latest version on my GT-100. Each time, the progress indicator get stuck at two yellow dots. I have left it for half an hour and it doesn't change. I have checked that my wi-fi is connected and of good signal strength. The amp still boots normally.

Did you check the amp version to see if the update DID happen? because thats a known issue and it;s happened to me once too, The amp never stops updating but if you turn it off and back on you may find as i did that it actually did update. It just fails to give the proper message and looks like it;s still working when in fact it's already done. Not saying thats definately the case, but as i said I was told it's a known issue that does happen as it did for me, so check the amp version and see if it actually was successful.

EDIT: Man, i just realized it's the new one and it's one fix for those who are having connection issue's. How appropriate ! But if you do, how will you get the fix for the issue/ Catch 22  But again, check your version as it may have updated already.

Got it! Server must have been too busy earlier - or some fishy was nibbling at the Transatlantic cable.

1.3.5, in all its glory. Right, bring on the good stuff. It sounds like some of the stuff on my wish list is on its way.

Hey Siri, tune my guitar!

Make sure you guys do a full "force update" on this one using steps below. Again, there is NOTHING exciting about this one, but it's an update you'll really want to ensure gets installed correctly regardless as it'll ensure future updates work seamlessly.

1. Turn the amplifier off.

2. Press and hold the Encoder button and the left middle soft-key simultaneously (see pic below) and turn the amplifier on. Hold the buttons for at least 5 seconds and release.

*This will take considerably longer than a simple firmware update. Do not interrupt this process.

Before seeing this post recommending a "force update," I updated my firmware using the normal method. My amp does show to be running version 1.3.5. Is there any reason to do a "force update" if 1.3.5 is already successfully installed?

Yes, the force update can ensure that there are no residual issues. In a past update, my amp updated fine, but presets and a couple of effects were MIA and I was missing some menu items. A full update fixed that issue. If you don't have any problems, you could be okay, but if you want to ensure no issues then I'd do the force update.
