Do the GT40 and the GT100 have the same features and the same presets, so the only difference is the power?

All three GT amps share the same features, except the power amp, speakers, midrange control on the top panel (100 and 200 have it, 40 only has midrange control on the screen) and XLR line out and effects loop (GT40 doesn't have line out or effects loop).

More importantly, the 40 is stereo (2x 20 watts) whereas the 100 is 100 watts mono, The 200 is 2x100 watts stereo. The two stereo amps employ a psychoacoustic effect to simulate a wide stereo field from two speakers that are close together. At the moment, this effect cannot be disabled but has been reported as sounding 'blurred'. Hopefully, it will be made switchable in a future update.

The 100 is the only one I'd ever consider for the above reasons. If i want stereo I'll run a second amp, but i don't want to be locked into 2 power amps even if there are no stereo effects being used for several reasons. If you want the greatest chance to replicate tube amp sound and feel, stick with the 100 IMO.

I haven't tried any stereo effects other than the stereo delay, but I hear no artifacts (such as "blurring") when using it. The tone doesn't change at all.
