Sorry to have my first post be a rant, but I am gobsmacked by the incompetence guiding the roll-out of the GT.

What I want is for the $400 amp that I bought to work as advertised.

Why on earth would Fender release the Mustang GT and Tone App when the main selling point of the amp, bluetooth connectivity via smartphone, can't be used by android users?! I can't download presets; I can only access 3 pre-fx when trying to create new signal chains; If I enter the tuner mode on my phone, it doesn't show me the actual tuner, and I can't return to the amp setting either; and customer service is absolutely no help.

I paid $400 for a gimmick that Fender didn't field test before selling, and the only thing that customer service can tell me is that "hopefully" the bugs will be fixed soon. These aren't "bugs." "Bugs" are quirks....what Fender has done has put out a product that it knows CANNOT work as advertised for 1/2 of the consumer base.

Worse, given that the functionality is the same as the Mustang III V2, only using bluetooth vs USB, what they've done is charge consumers an extra $70 ($329 vs. $399) as an advance on the hopes that they will get it to work at some point in the future. However, given that there's no way to use the main technological features of the amp until it's fixed, we paid more money for less of an amp, and have to hope that they fix the problems before the return period to the store is up.

Well this really sucks, the new update is, well nothing, in brads own words, important I guess, but I guess I'm starting to just be at my whits end with my GT, the band i play in is in the bar stage, some cool venues, we are all pro level musicians, but working musicians so in that respect where i need variety and other grear before I blow $1000 plus on a real pro level amp this amp does the trick "sond wise" I hate having to deal with all these glitchy app stuff... to limited foot pedal bothers me endlessly this pedal chain could be so much more extensive and amazing... and using the tone app could help immensely in that area but with it's lack of functionality it's blah.... i hope this last update isn't like fender basically saying here's so everyone can get the last update an we're done with this headache... I've talked to plenty of agents none of which you thought updates would be this spread out... I love the Amps sound truly do tinkering with it an dialing it right can fool the best of ears almost but the functionality is killing me
