As I know Fender is trying to get thing done as quickly as they can, I am just curious as to how soon we can expect to see another update to the amp and its technical aspects? There are some more bugs Im sure you guys are aware of that remain to bug us mustang owners!! But once main issues are addressed I think this amp is a amongst the top of it class an beyond the sound you get for the price!!! is just amazing!

I talked to fender today regarding the update server being down and the rep mentioned theres supposed to be a new update next week. I'm not too excited tho because for what he said it may be a update to fix issues with the tone app and not amp features or fixes. Mine is buggy as hell with the footswitch and does all sorts of wacky things, so i'm not too happy about this update. I can't be the only one with these issues.

No you aren't buddy... my looper has some latency, at usable for practice no way on stage, but I still get the app telling me to update my amp when I'm already updated all the way which is weird, and there are instances where the app will just stop working an send me back to my phones main screen... then the obvious constantly dropping Bluetooth! Aaggghh! This one im at my whits end. It's better I'll give it to them
but this blue tooth stuff sucks. I've heard this probably couldn't be controlled by fender but I don't get how, I'm not tech savvy, but man I wish it would connect an stay that way....

Amp wise I wish I could move the presets where I want them... in order.. I have to take long routes in order to get the preset to say. But I would like to assign what presets I want to whatever channel. Unless I've missed this feature an PLEASE help! I would love this but it's not efficient. The sound has gotten better since the firmware and I noticed what the speaker breaks in this thing is great...

I think these Amos are great... I'm a amature musician who's band is some good solid booking lately , starting to play biggger stages..... still modest but I use the gt 100 for all my shows.. I love how it plugs in straight through XLR outputs to a PA! The simple pedal kinda sucks cuz if you had more capabilities you could do wicked stuff with the effects!! If the Tone app would become more stable an be able to not drop signal or close for no reason, and we could use the app on something other then a phone, I would be set cause I do love this amp!

I hope they come out with a App version so we can use a nook, tablet, other devices then a phone to operate it.. I don't wna buy an iPad just for the tone app cause I have a nook... so I'm trying to remain patient an hopeful fender is still putting a lot of man power an time of making this amp great! Cuz for the price an what we get... I'm in love... no, you can't plug an play this amp... I personally like that now that each my preset go to such different vibes! "Which reminds me! We need a way to backup presets!"

Reordering of presets is coming soon but in the meantime, you can either use set lists or, what I do, put my favourites in slots 190-200. The amp can scroll back to them with a few clicks. The Tone app will be able to do this too, eventually.

I have no problem with Bluetooth whatsoever with my iPads. It has already been identified that, in Android, you need to have at least v6 and preferably v7 for reliable Bluetooth. I can't run the Android app at all because my Android Tablet is stuck on v4 - because the manufacturer hasn't released anything higher.

Having said all that, there is no way I would use Bluetooth (or Wi-Fi) in a live environment from any device. Hard-wiring is the way to go for reliability!

Thats what i used to do with my old mustang, but i have an issue with the GT doing that. Even tho they accelerated the preset scrolling with the last update, it only goes fast when just scrolling thru to get to a preset, NOT when scrolling thru them when saving as. And to exacerbate that, when scrolling thru presets while saving as it will not go from 200 to 1 or from 1 to 200 because theres a wall there that doesn't exist while scrolling but not saving. Crazy. It's almost like they are trying to makes things not work well. Takes me about 30 or 40 turns of the wheel to get from a low number slot like 1 to 200. So now i use slots 30 and up as a sort of vault to save my important presets.

Not when saving. Try it. Save preset 1 then try and put it in 200. You will have to go thru 200 presets to get there, and when you do the fast scrolling accelleration they added in the last update is no longer in effect. That accelleration and the ability to go backwards from 1 to 200 or forward from 200 to 1 are both no longer in effect. They only are in effect when scrolling thru presets. Try it. Save preset 1 to 200 and see if you can do it without a zillion data wheel turns. Mine cant so i dunno why yours would.

No, I can't do it while saving but 'zillions' is an exaggeration. It takes a few turns, yes, but having saved it, you can scroll backwards to actually use it. I am assured that this is being fixed.

I have not nor would rely on a blue tooth of wifi live. Maybe Bluetooth if it can be password protected at some point and the app could be more stable, I actually like the idea of having you main effects on the normal foot pedal, then using like the tablet, nook, or ipad to add more effects to the chain to play with, I do jam band type improv on stage sometimes and it would be cool to have extra mods effects to play with cause you can really do some cool stuff with the mod an delay an reverb choices with the GT's. In a perfect world I would have my main effects set to the switch an the extra stuff could just be as simple as having the harness for the ipad or whatever to just click on an off the extra effects. The four button footswitch is so limiting, i wish they had something bigger to offer an i am not "savy enough" to figure out how to map those digi midi stomp pedals to the mustang. From what Ive been told by fender that footswitch plans to be the only one released any time soon, I may buy a i-pad just for that purpose on stage, it just sucks cause I have a nook and it shows the tone app in play store just cant operate.

Do you know where i can find out on my nook if it V-4 or whichever you mentioned before with android devices. A phone is to small on stage a pad would be perfect i just don't want to buy an ipad for just that. I was happy that the sound got better with the last update which hopefully means fender is always going to improve tone, sustain, all that good stuff with each patch. There is a reason I am sticking with this amp through all the glitches, even live for a amature to semi-professional player hooking through a PA these things sound great when dialed in right it takes time some people don't like that and that's understandable like I mentioned. Personally, after buying tubed amps for years of all kinds, when other gear is needed still this amp is a beast and hopefully "fingers crossed" fender in still invested in this fully to make this amp top notch as possible. I have had it since it launched I had the IIIv2 and I loved it. I had to return the original one I bought but that was cause of input issues other then that i love this amp just a few glitches left to figure out hope they do!

Did you honestly think i literally meant zillions? It's a figure of speech if that wasn't obvious. I mean, it does take a LOT of turns. In fact i just tried it...47 turns to save 1 in slot 200. Kinda ridiculous if you ask me, especially when all they'd have to do to at least cut that in half would be remove that wall, and to make it 10 times quicker still, add acceleration. It's just little things like that which have me wondering what they were thinking.

There is so much more you can do, musically, with an iPad. My band relies on OnSong. If you don't know what that is, check it out, it is a game changer for bands. I have a microphone stand mount for my iPad so I can read the words and chords of songs like a teleprompter. I can sync my set list to other members of the band or can stream what I'm seeing on my screen to the others. Hopefully, I will be able to have OnSong and Tone in a split screen situation soon (iOS 11) so that I can change song and tone at the same time.

When is the next release going to be released. Last Saturday the word was a couple of days...Been waiting since early May to get (for me) the much needed Tone app to work on my phone. In retrospect it was, I think, a mistake to buy the GT as soon as it hit the store...shoulda waited for the bugs to be shook out. However, Fender has always been so conservative in releasing products...is this a sign of a change in Fender's business philosophy.
Bottom line though, I have two excellent MIA guitars and one awesome tube amp of theirs so a couple hundred buck modeler is really a nit I am picking at...so it goes.

I love the gt and I'm all over the forum trying to figure out how to update my nook android or even then will it work with tone. I would hate to waste my nook and buy an iPad just for the mustang and why I think it's crucial is the four button footswitches that's not enough not even close for the stuff you can stack on here a pad is only thing big enough on stage to be able to l clip to your mix Stand an flip on a effect ya... I really hope fender makes it available to all formats.. it may still not work with a nook idk but it'll be cheaper then iPad to buy android just something basic for lyrics and mustang control.. I'm getting imapatient I've had the gt 100 since the beginning had to return it a month in cause of Input issue nothing fenders fault hardware or sound wise... speaker was broken in presets we all set lost them all speakers needs re broken in.. and this 4 button pedals that's it?! I wna use this amp for some good sized shows cause when dialed in right this thing can do the job espsiclly hooked into a pad through XLR inputs already done it... it's great but I'm wondering is it cheaper now an less a headache to get back to a tubed amp an full pedal board.. I loved the mustang III and This gt sound wise I love it a ton! I I just don't know how invested fender is with this still after all these issues.. an I need that amp to work cause I play improv and the tone app would allow for much more effects in the chain to do different things four buttons...:.. not enough if the app was free all devices An worked properly I would be peaches.... really thinking about giving up on the stand I've been here since the start but man fender keeps us in the dark to much even just a time line when Around we can see an what we can plan to see change the fastest and what will take the longest to fix ya know be more transparent with your die hard consumers... it's really making me think my rig situation I was a tubed amp
Guy all the way till the III and Gt came my way and the last update was a great addition to then overall sound it def sounded better after it's just how much more speculating an waiting ya deal
With when you are trying to make this amp work for live shows.. which I've already done it plenty an she's doing just fine a lot of compliments it's just running it the way I want an the way it could Be ran I feel limited right now by it when I know all this thing can do!

I was told this week sometime by a rep. But he said it;s going to be all fixes for the tone app and bluetooth streaming. So no amp fixes/updates. He may be wrong tho, we'll see. If they don't fix that horrible tuner i'm not going to be a happy man. I'm sick of spending 34 times as long tuning as i do with any other tuner. I decided to but a tuber for my board if they don't fix it,, but how do i know if they ever will? if i go out and but a polytune for example it'll become a bookend if they ever fix this thing. There are lots of other iissues too and they seem not to be too worried about.

Yeah the Bluetooth will be nice to see fixed, it really hinders the ability to add to the pedal chain so many options yet so few switches is depressing. I was stacking stuff last night like overdrives with compressors just tinkering, the compressor with the gain turned up and thesh messed with an everything else basically off acts as a transparent overdrive, it went nicely with my ts9 tubescreamer I had before I bought the mustang. I hope we see the tone app become pc available to backup presets an use any device with it. I have had the 100 since the beginning I am growing impatient with Fender, after all look how long we have waited already for fixes. I understand its no easy task but I mean at least keep your amp owners in the loop more often. I love the variety of great simulations you can get it is really an amazing sounding amp, with some glitches that are holding its functionality back otherwise I think more people would have this amp. We will see what the new update bring whenever that actually comes out.
