I have a Fender Mustang GT 100 and I'm going to use a Trio Band Creator Plus. Will the preset of the amp also change the Bass and Drums of the Trio Band Creator Plus?

Here's what I'm going to do with the Trio connected to the Mustang:
- Mustang: Preset 01, play back guitar
- Let the above loop
- Add bass and drum on the Trio
- Now I switch to a distortion preset (British 80s or something) and play a solo
- Will the first loop and bass and drum also be distorted or will it be played with the original sound (preset 01)?

How am I going to connect the Trio to the Mustang, so the original sound for the first loop stays?

There are two outputs on the Trio, one for guitar out and one for the drums/bass (mixer). The trick here is to run the drums/bass output into the AUX socket on top and the guitar out into the normal input. That way, the drums/bass are not affected by your guitar settings. You will, of course, need an appropriate cable or adaptor.

Think of the AUX input as a PA system. Apart from the Trio, I can plug in a drum machine (BeatBuddy) or an acoustic guitar pre-amp (Fishman Platinum). With the latest firmware update, the master volume control controls the AUX input too, it didn't before. I could, in theory, plug in a small mixer (Berhinger) into AUX and use a microphone or any combination of the above, but I have a separate PA, so I don't need to do that.

Thanks for the response, stratocaster1983!

Are you talking about the AUX socket on top of the Fender Mustang? I thought, this was only output, not input.

With the configuration you suggested, the loop of the first guitar will be affected by the setting of the second guitar. So the first one will also be distorted, when I put distortion on the second guitar play. Did I understand this correctly?

The AUX on top of the Mustang is an input intended for an MP3 player. When there is a jack plugged into the Guitar out on the Trio and the Mixer out is also used, the guitar signal is passed through unaffected, as if you had plugged straight into the amp and the Trio drum and bass go through the MIXER output. Any looping you do with the Mustang will behave as if the Trio was not involved. As far as the looper is concerned, you can put down the first track with any preset (say, a clean rhythm), it is recorded. You can then change the preset (to high gain) for the overdub and the first track remains the same. I hope this is clear?
