First, i stopped playing out regularly a few years back but i still jam with old bandmates every so often and on rare occasion play a old haunt of ours. I wouldn't record a gig as i'm not leaving a camera where some drunk will take it. And god knows when we'll play out again. I tried to record jams a few times but the camera just distorts horribly no matter how far away i set it. It can;t handle band volume and theres no way to adjust it. But i;ve said this time and time again.....no clip is going to come remotely close to telling you how the amp fares. YOU must try it yourself to know. no less than 1/2 of what you look for in an amp whether you realize it or not, and IMO the most important part, is the feel. The way it responds to your fingers. I myself couldn't listen to clips of the mustang and really have an real idea of how i would like it. Not with any gear. The most it can do is tell you if it gets the same type of sound of the real amp with whatever model you are playing, and even then the models can be set so they sound nothing like the real thing and thats how i set mine. I have no regards for how the amp model's real life counterpart sounds. I just set them however works for me. I gigged the old mustang a number of times and theres no reason on earth the GT isn't giggable. I've used it at jams only so far but whats the difference where you use it, it's how.

Anyways, theres only one way to know and this is how i did it and always do whenever possible....buy from a GC and return it within 45 days if you don't like it. No questions asked, they just refund 100%. Why would you rely on clips when you could do that?
