Not trying to bash the GT but provide information.
Guitar Center recommended replacing my GT with a Katana as I have previously posted.
I went to another music store to see if I could get more on the GT trade in and see what they had to say. Same story as GC, they have gotten negative response to the GT and they too recommended the Katana. They offered me less than GC. Giving it some thought might just buy the Katana and see if I can sell the GT on one of the internet places.
Anyone here interested in a GT 40 with very low mileage and original box?

How many miles are on the odometer? Never mind that functionality is missing from the tone app <g>

Fender advertised a functional Android app with Bluetooth connectivity.
That is what I expected..... That is not what I got several months back.....
I still don't have it now....
I simply can't believe that people are willing to accept and excuse blatantly false and misleading propaganda...
I will persevere but am not happy about this....
Definitely not a "bonus"!

I am with you. And I do understand your anger.

As I stated in another thread I still do believe that those issues are all software, not hardware. That means there is a chance that future updates will solve the issues or even better: add unexpected and exciting new features.

There is one trap though, kindof self-fullfilling prophecy: A manufacturer will only continue to improve the software if there are enough products sold. And continue to sell.

Now: we all should stay honest with the GT amps. And not badmouth it totally just because we are angry about one certain feature which might still be buggy. Done in excess is not motivating the manufacturer nor the dev-team to help us out. The idea, design and the sound capabilities are IMHO excellent for that price tag.

(Please dont get me wrong: I am not talking about particular people on this forum, and especially by no means about the original poster, i.e. I am also having YT in my mind)

Hi Spinner Deluxe
I agree. I hope my comments aren't interpreted as bagging the GT. I think it is a great amp and I love it's tones. That's why I still have mine!
I'm just not comfortable with the dysfunctional app situation and struggle to understand those who seem to be saying that this is somehow acceptable or to be expected, or that it's not an integral part of the whole package.
Given the outstanding price point I'm surprised at the level of expectations some people have.
I'm not getting rid of mine. I want to see how really good it can be.
As you say...... Be true to the GT
But gee....... I just want it to work like Fender said it would.

Finally got the app and amp working together today. I don't know/remember what I did differently, maybe I did not have the phones location on earlier or is it the new app version. Ofcourse the app is in the early stages like the memory place list always resetting beginning or otherwise weirdish user interface but it's working. :D

It is possible to install Android Nougat on the Nook and Nook HD. You can get the instructions online. The cheapest iPad is £339 (in UK).

I'm going to try an update my nook to the latest version of android, but even then, android seems to be not working well with tone. Are things better for the android users I know they are still glitchy... but don't take to much offense I have an iPhone an the tone app still glitches an does off the wall stuff I'm hoping fender is close to making the app PC available... it's pointless for them not to... I hope we can plan to see updates soon I've been the GTs biggest supporter but I'm losing patience.... and I would like to save money an get a new tablet if I have to an the nook can't be updated but just for running my tone app
An lyrics is going to be a Pain for an iPad atleast the androids have a few diffenrt prices to manage with... all iPads are priced high... I may just get a refurbished one an basic one cuz I'm only using it for amp lyrics an occasional reading or something but I'm guna flip if fender then makes tone available to all formats! I see them doing it eventually just don't know how long!

WHOOOORAAAA! Latest firmware release got me Tone working on smartphone. With this the GT does absolutely everything I bought it for: back room practice amp. I can sit with my phone on the arm of my chair and play whatever I want with the roll of the presets to get the sound I want when I want it.
Thank you Brad and company for staying on top of it. I am confident that you all will stay focused on the continuous improvement of this amp and features that we the users want.

I updated to the latest firmware and android app last night. Still no luck connecting my Android 6.0 + Tone to the amp. Bluetooth audio streaming seems fine, though. Waiting for the announced update later this month...

Tip:

I was having tremendous problems with connectivity on Android 10 oneplus 7T.

I had to make my phone discoverable in Bluetooth settings and make sure the Amp wasn't otherwise connected via Bluetooth as a speaker.

It worked as soon as I made my phone discoverable.
