So I put the GT40 looper to the test tonight, and I'm loving it.

Here's a demo I recorded in one take. I figured out how to play my drum loops into the amp and record them as a track in the looper. Worked like a charm, and then I layered rhythm and lead on top. It's mono, and a live mix, but it sounds great in the room.

I started a new YouTube channel, too. I plan to do tons of these in nearly any genre.

It would be easier, savable, and better all around with the features I requested in my other thread, but it still turned out pretty good nonetheless.

Too much fun!

Excellent demo, Steve. I used to play all The Ventures tunes back in the early '60. I can still play them if pushed.

Sweet! I used to listen to all of that great surf music as I was learning to play guitar. Great for beginners and beyond.

Great job! You really put it all together to make it great. Good example of what the GT Mustang looper can do.

I'd like to be able to do that too. I need more practice and to buy a Mustang GT with the foot petal, again.
Revisiting Ventures or any surfing songs is on my list. I may only know bits and pieces of some songs, so always trying to improve and lean more and learning to use the looper would help. Thanks for the great demo.

Thanks, and it definitely takes practice and focus. Gets stressful once it gets started! But fun at the same time.

Great genre. I'm gonna play that till I'm really old.

I AM really old and do play it. Never really thought of The Ventures as 'surf music', not in the beginning anyway. I don't have a Jazzmaster, but I do have a Jaguar (a newish one). I had a Jaguar back in 1965 but by that time I had moved-on from The Ventures to Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. Meanwhile, The Ventures retired to Japan to wither away. I never like the Shadows, too sickly sweet. The original Ventures were more my cup of coffee.

That's funny and interesting perspective there, 1983!
