In a firmware update that is. The way the different settings react to the data wheel. Some things move way too slow when turning the data wheel. Some way too fast. And some of the slow ones seem to have acceleration on them so if you turn th wheel fast enough they will then switch to moving really fast and theres no in between. You have 2 choices....turn the wheel for what seems like and eternity or turn the wheel fast and watch the setting to go way past where you wanted. The only way to get it thee accurately is slow, so you end up spending way too long to make a few setting changes. Theres no rhyme or reason either. One of the worse it getting from the first presets like 1 all the way to the ones over 100 when assigning quick access patches. My god....you literally have to sit there for a minute turning the wheel so many times it's truly ridiculous.

In short, the movement of the settings needs to be the same as the MIII. I think fender was trying to make improvements where none was needed and made things much worse in the process. Brad, if you could mention this to the team i'd appreciate it. I imagine they are already aware but who knows.

I agree, it is a pain to have to scroll by 100 presets, however, if the promised reassignments of tone slots comes about, you can move all the presets you need closer together. I have already done that by moving my favourites to positions -1 to -10, then I scroll backwards to them from the 'home' position.

True, but that was just one example. There are a ton of settings where the data wheel is far too slow, far too fast, or jumps between far too slow and far too fast. Should be an easy fix i would think.

I agree, the wheel acceleration is sporadic.

What do you think: does the latest firmware (2017.06.27) fix this issue? Seems like they worked on it...
