Here is a little clip of a JCM800 patch I used the other night, it's still a work in progress but it sounds very good at band levels. This is not a huge amount of gain but still plenty for what im playing these days!!

Patch Details:
This is the Brit 80s using the 4x12GB cab with some tape delay and Reverb. Guitar is a Gibson SG Faded.

Recorded with a Tascam DR-05 a couple of feet away from the amp!

Sounds good, but i knew it would because i've spent some time with it myself and all i can say is Mustang V1 an V2, eat your heart out ! Theres absolutly no comparison. The 800 on the old one is ....well, for me at least not even usable. The GT's 800 actually sounds like a 800 with that same aggressive high end. I'm also at that point with it where it's a work in progress because i really need to nail the sound while keeping the high end under control and still being happy with the cleans i get by rolling the guitar down. haven't yet gotten there because i'm really picky, but i'm so busy playing with other models i like even more i just don't care to right now ! Theres a lot to explore in the GT, whereas the MIII i only liked one model a lot and a couple others a little bit. So i didn't have lot of exploring to do. I could spend years exploring ways to get more great sounds out of the GT. But i'd rather just play the one's i have now which is all i really need. Later i'll delve deeper into the 800.

I'm working on my 59 Bassman patch I seen your settings you posted and started there and then re-tweaked till I liked what I heard with my SG, added the Greenbox model to goose the front end like a real TS. That plus a little slap delay is sounding real sweet to my ears I will post a clip of that soon!

Try the 65 deluxe and princeton too and set em similar to the bassman settings. They're great too in some ways better. I've been meaning to try and make some clips too but i find it so tedious because once the red lite comes on i have a hard time playing and getting the touch to come thru. So I've never been very good at recording. But i'll try one day soon and if i can capture what i think represents the amp i'll post it.

I will check the other amps out soon to see what I can get out of this amp, only had the amp for a week but having a blast exploring... I thinks this amp is definitely better than the earlier versions I had (MIII & MIV) and I got some good tones out of those!
