Or if you don't know maybe find out if it's possible of if at some point it will be with a new firmware version. I don't have a cel phone, at least nothing that will work. Just a prepaid emergency phone without internet or ability to add apps. I have been adding presets i make the only way it allows me to....by using "save as new" in which it adds a new slot at the highest point. Example: you have say 120 patches and the last about 15 are your and it adds this new one into a new slot, #121. So now after a lot of experimentation i have a ton of presets i no longer want. How do i delete them? I assume i can't? If thats the case, i would suggest mentioning this to the team because this feature is on the verge of being extreme ridiculous.Over the years i could end up with hundreds of unwanted presets, and i already literally have to turn the data wheel probably 50 times to select one of the high numbers as my quick acccess 3. They really need to make this amp usable for those w/o a cel phone. It would be like selling a car that can't turn left unless you buy a new washing machine. It may be the craziest non feature of the GT yet. I love the amps tone but more and more i'm finding things that are making me have a hard time using it w/o jumping thru hoops. Please mention this post to them in detail so they can understand why this is really problematic for those who can't use the app.

I have observed the same thing and believe that wether or not someone has a mobile device, the delete preset function should be internal to the amp itself. This is an oversight by Fender IMHO.

Also note, when a preset is deleted, the GT currently leaves a slot called empty preset. This should be changed so no slot name or number remains after being deleted.

Oh man, you gotta be kidding !!! What sense is there in being able to delete them if you end up with 300 empty slots after a year or 3? That brings up another thing....scrolling thru presets. It takes for ever to scroll the data wheel to 100. That nees to be changed. But Imagine 300 unused slots and then one you want to put in quick access temporarily. You'd spend a notable portion of your life scrolling. Damn, now i don't have any reason for fender to make them deletable. The point is not to have a zillion unused slots, whether there are presets you don't want in them of blanks is unimportant.

I'm interested in this as well, there needs to be a Delete function and a way to save over another patch slot!

And why not a "move patch" to an empty slot?

Well, from day one i've been begging to see it changed to work like the MIII where you can hit save then turm the data wheel to any slot at all and overwrite whatever is there. Thats the ultimate and i'm so disappointed the GT can't do that. Fingers crossed for that more than anything else in a update. But i'm afraid thats not going to happen so if they could at least make the ones you save deletable that would be the next best thing. A very FAR second choice, but better then nothing which is what we have now.

Oh ... and a Save As feature too, where you can save to any slot and overwrite!

That, and the ability to boot up to the state at last switch-off are at the top of my wish list. Anything else is icing on the cake. :D

Definitely moving in the right direction! Tonally, this amp is a winner already...ironing out the UI issues will be icing on the cake.

I can't believe it ! This is the best news i could have ever heard. They really ARE listening ! Thanks Brad, i feel like i just won the lottery.   If they continue to listen and accommodate us users this amp will truly become the amp the V2 mustang SHOULD have been. A true and great urgrade. It already is tonally and now it looks like it's slowly catching up feature wise too. Now if only they would put a mode function in that disables any modes you choose. That would eliminate the looper minefield that may lead to some very embarrassing moments and allow you to get to functions you need without scrolling thru modes in the middle of a song. Example: in my case i only need the QA mode and effects mode. With this feature i could disable the looper and the bank up/down mode so with just one press i'm in the next mode i need. HUGE improvement in the switching which at this point is a fiasco compared the the V2 mustang. It'll never be as good with respect to switching being theres no 2 button switch to use at the same time, but mode disabling would narrow the gap greatly for live use.

But hey, if not, THANK YOU FENDER for listening and improving preset saving. If they do nothing else i can live with the rest. The save improvement was the one thing that was just killing me. A crippling non feature IMO.

Agree re the mode disable. It's waaayy too easy to trigger the looper in a live situation when you are fumbling in the dark.
