Here's a foolproof way to operate the amp: put down your electronic pacifiers (Millennials I'm talking to you), go up to the amp and manually turn the knobs. When you hear some great sounds play your guitar.

The Tone app doesn't work on my android phone either. It won't connect through BT and can't find my amp. All the settings are correct and triple checked. No triggering here and no need for a safe space with a therapy dog either. I turn the knobs and play my guitar. Every minute you spend complaining about the Tone app is one less minute you're not playing through a great sounding amp.

The Tone app was a selling point and featured prominently in their ads and Fender does need to be held to account for not having it fully functional upon release. I agree. This amp being a first generation and software-driven I expected hiccups and bugs. No big deal. I can see where it would be convenient to have the ability to control the amp from 20 feet away. I'm confident Fender will fix the Tone app but until then I twist the knobs and enjoy the great sounds the amp makes.

Lets say you bought a new car, and when you went to pick it up it only had 3 wheels on it, wouldn't you complain about that ??

I'm about ready to take your pacifier comment and shove it right up your..................

Sounds like someone is triggered and needs a safe space.

The amp works just fine without the Tone app. Until Fender irons out the android bugs forget about your phone and play guitar. Tweak the presets and craft your sound. This is a great sounding amp.

Wrong. It's a third generation Mustang, it is a big deal, and if they had done their homework,
they would have known how Marshall douped and flogged their customers
with the Code series amps, and not duplicated the effort.

Are the CEO/CTO class all members of the same county club?

(and I still have time to pluck and strum, as you wisely remind,
to drink from the cup half full.)
Cheers

I've got a better plan. I'll just play thru my Super Champ X2 and Marshall DSL15. Sounds 10 times better and I can tweak my foot pedals all day if I want. I'll use the GT 40 for a door stop.

First generation (first release) of GT series is what I meant. And I agree they could have done a better job with this product launch.

The SCX2 is a nice little amp. That is the least expensive entry into a 6V6 tube amp that I've found. I've thought about buying one only to take the guts out to put it into a custom cabinet with a 12" speaker.

I just bought the head and have it hooked up to a Fender 1 1 2 cabinet with a 12 " speaker. Sounds great !!!!! I run it stereo with the Marshal DSL also with a 12" speaker in a Marshall cabinet...I split my guitar's signal with a stereo chorus pedal and after hearing them both in stereo I could never go back to mono. this setup sounds so great, I'm spoiled !! I played my new Tele thru it the other day and wow what a sound !!!!!!!
