Rechecking my amp....

The iPod seems to be working as planned. Dropouts have ceased for now as of this test. Program selections are stable and correct.

The Android 11.5" tablet...Tone program loads but won't connect to amp via Bluetooth. It will locate the amp sometimes, but will not connect.

The Android 8" tablet...Tone program won't load.

The Tone app doesn't work on my phone either. I downloaded the latest version and rechecked all my settings. The Tone app won't connect through BT. Eh. Oh well. I turn the knobs manually and enjoy a great sounding amp.

That's not what I paid for. If you don't mind getting snowballed into accepting an inferior product, that's your problem. I don't like getting ripped off.

Any idea why the iOS device is now working?
(I'm certainly glad it seems to be working now; even though I haven't had the problems you've had, I'm still very interested in what you find out.)

I have no clue why it's working or why it drops out. If I just let it sit for a while unattended it will drop out, and it has to be re-connected.

djwayne, thanks for these updates. Just stating the obvious here, but the scenario is really going to boil down to a matter of whether you have the patience to await updates to the Android app. Less than ideal scenario, for sure - again, definitely not downplaying it.

Well now that the iPod is working most of the time, the pressure for me to use the Android tablets is off, and I can wait. I'm getting real good at reconnecting the Bluetooth, because I've had to do it so many times. Android would be nice, but I'm starting think it's just not going to happen. Don't feel too bad Marshall is going thru the exact same problems with their Code amps. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't....I hate to say it but Bluetooth is very unreliable.

Thats what I've been trying to tell you. It's not on fender. The only thing they are guilty of is trying to give the amp an extra feature that they have little control over. They didn't invent BT, they are only trying to implement it but like i said earlier, wireless stuff is buggy by nature.

Sorry but Fender is ultimately responsible for the design of their products. These problems should have been discovered and fixed long before being released for sale.

Maybe you should just return it and get your money back, at this point I don't think anything Fender does will make you happy. I'm not trying to be a smart @@@, life is to short, sometimes the best thing to do is part ways.

Just like Microsoft, Apple, Epson, Google, Amazon and anyone else who produces products based on software don't. Have you ever tried to use the Amazon Music app? It is virtually impossible to release a software product that works first time or can't be improved. Your target is always moving and changing. We are always complaining about being beta testers - but it is a fact of modern life. Live with it or get an Epi Valve Junior. Great little amp and just one knob!

Apparently you don't know how to read, I said the iPod is working now. It would make me very happy if the Android would also work, not a necessity though. I've got way too much time invested in this to just give up now. So I'm planning on keeping it for now.

sorry but I've mastered the little bastard and now able to run it 100 % except for Android. Your advice is worthless.

now wait a minute - I use Bluetooth all the time, for keyboards/mice/external speakers/Chromebooks. Bluetooth is perfectly reliable when the device is made by a company that is competent with making Bluetooth devices. Ask Logitech.

Geez some of you guys are acting like it's still 2005 and Bluetooth is a brand new mysterious technology. There's no excuse for the Bluetooth not working I use it all the time with different apps and devices and never even have to think about it unlike this mess. It's either bad hardware or bad coding.
