That's rather abysmal. Especially so for software from a big well-known company, where it's near unprecedentedly bad. For comparison, the Marshall Gateway app, which is considered bad, is at 3.6 stars on Google Apps.

Has Fender upper management even been made aware of this?

I don't think they are pretending. I know for a fact they are working on both the app and firmware, and we will be seeing new versions shortly. The hardware, models and effects are all significant upgrades over my older Mustang III...all the problems we are seeing are software issues, and I'm confident they will sort the bugs out soon. Fender has always stood by its products and I'm sure this will be no exception. That said, we as early adopters clearly got a beta version that really should have been tested across a broad spectrum of users and phones/tablets before coming to market.

Musician's Friend took back the amp and has credited my Pay Pal account for the full amount with no problems. They even re-imbursed me for return shipping.
