Got the GT 100 today only got to play around with it for a little bit but so far I like it right out of the box, spent most of the time tweaking the Brit 80s since I like to use Marshall tube amp. I didn't waste time I F'n cranked it to band levels and got a nice full tone, changed the cab to 4x12 GB and added some post tape delay and a Greenbox at the front of the amp for that classic Marshall tone. Just got to get use to the screen since its nothing like the MIII V2, the update went smoothly. I bought the original MS4 foot switch and printed out the overlay to lessen the confusion but so far everything is working great, I will spend more time with it tomorrow.

Yeah, congrats alright. Good choice too, as i think it;s the best of the 3 being mono without the possible issues the stereo ones seem to have. I also think it's better to leave stereo for if and when you want it and not be forced to have it.

If u think it's good now wait till the speaker breaks in and you learn to get the best from it. Thats 80s marshall really does sound like a JCM unlike the old mustang. I haven't messed with that one much but without even trying it sounded right. I prefer the 70's plexi but at stage volume who knows....could do a 180 on that for all i know. Tomorrow nite i get to use mine for the first time in the band. Can't wait, think it's gonna be incredible.

Thanks, I will be blasting the amp for the next few days to break that speaker in and then try it with the band next week. I will spend some time getting my clean tone usually its the 59 Bassman like I had in the MIII for me I think the Sag & Bias tweaks are vital to good tone and more important the feel. I like the fact that I can now put fx where I want and how many I want to stack thats much better than the old Ver 2, anyway Im sure I will learn some great tips from others as time goes on.

I absolutely love the weight of this amp it's 30 lbs lighter than my Marshall that I normally lug around!!

I know, isn't that awesome ! The lightest amps i ever owned are probably 15 Lbs more, maybe 20. Average was much where i see you also posted about your new amp, but in case u missed it, on the bassman try keeping the bright all the way down and add treble and presence as needed to get enough top end for a more real amp sound. try it the other way too, bright way up and lower treble and presence to keep the highs in balance. I find those two ways give very different results both nice but one sounds more real like a amp in the room while the other sounds more like a recording. At lower volumes anyways. At stage volume it may be better using the opposite of what sounds good lower. But just keep that in mind when playing around with the bassman model. I use it both ways but prefer the presence down and treble/presence way up at home. At stage volume....well, like i said i know what works best tonite.

a couple of observations I had today is patch switching is totally seamless when using the M4 controller so this sounds very natural now when going from clean to mean, the other thing I notice was the delay spillover when turning off the delay.

yeah, i think in the delay settings the "pre/post" setting probably adjusts whether there is spillover or not, tho i can't imagine why anyone would not want it. then again maybe thats not what its for, i just haven;t played with that.
As for patch switching, it;s far better than the old mustang but i do get a very slight cut out. Maybe it's only with certain models/settings because i noticed that with the MIII. Some patches switching would have less delay than others and settings might also alter that. But so far on my GT it's negligible.

Congrats on the new amp! I've been pondering if I need a 100 in addition to my GT40. :-)
