Can anyone advise of any progress with Android functionality?
In Australia Android 7 is not yet available.
I am completely amazed about this fiasco.
What is the point of promoting and releasing a product that cannot deliver what it claims.

It is very difficult for developers to support Android. There are so many different flavours of it, many which have ceased development and will no longer be upgradable. Any manufacturer can stick their own version of Android on a device but when it gets past the basic functionality of the pre-installed apps, good luck, you are on your own. If you are going to buy Android devices, get ones from reputable companies with an ongoing commitment to development.

I have a Samsung Galaxy 6 and a current Samsung pad!
My issue is that Fender, instead of advising interested purchasers that this issue is a work in progress, promoted this series as having functional Android connectivity.
It doesn't. I believe that misrepresents the product significantly.
If it is not rectified quickly, my unit will be returned.

Thanks....
I have that info.
Note that it says they will "add" the functions that Google Play already exists.
A quote from the App advertisement...
The ultimate companion app to the new Fender® Mustang ™ GT amplifier, the Fender Tone app uses your Android device to connect to your amp, so you can edit, share or send presets to your amp wirelessly over Bluetooth.
Well.... It doesn't and cannot do these things.... Why say it does?
Sorry if I sound cranky..... But I am

I'm right there with you. I'm not buying an iPhone or iPad to run an amp. I realize that being an early adopter of a product like this will come with some sacrifices and frustrations, but to have one platform so limited upon release is ridiculous. This is definitely a work in progress. If it didn't sound so great mine would already be back at the store.

You know, the amp is perfectly functional without any phone or tablet. It is marginally more convenient to tweak tones with a tablet but not essential.

To me one of the main features of this amp is the ability to download presets made by others in the community. Some of these presets are like gold to me. You must have a way to download these presets, or else you're really missing out on one of the great benefits of this amp. Those user created presets are dynamite.

You can download presets from the amp over WiFi.

I just tried it and yes you can, but it's more fun with the Tone app.

Are you able to download community created presets this way? I was only able to see the Fender and Artist presets.
