because it was on sale and I wanted a bigger screen. I'm going to use it to control my Marshall Code 25 amplifier. The Marshall Gateway software seems to work okay with it. I tried installing the Fender Tone app and it said it wasn't compatible with my device. I like the Fender GT amp so much I decided to get the Marshall Code 25 amp as a companion to it, to access even more presets. I really like the idea of programmable amps and community developed presets. I've heard talk that Fender may someday be compatible with the Android, so I want to be ready for that day. In the meantime the iPod still works great, it just has a much smaller screen. I've been setting up the Android tablet and I like it lot. I can see now why people want it.

Cause it costs $399...The 8" Insignia Flex Android tablet costs $59.00. I wanted a separate unit for the Code 25, but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. The Code 25 will work with the Android. Hopefully someday the Fender Tone will too.

Ah, my telco gave me an Alcatel 7" Android tablet free when I bought a cheap smartphone for my son. It doesn't work with anything I have and can't be updated. You get what you pay for ;?)

Well the Marshall Gateway app does indeed work with the Andriod os. It also allows me to surf the internet, check my e-mail, save photo's. it does quite a bit for such a cheap price.

I had some Bluetooth issues with the Android tablet and the Marshall Code 25 amp....apparently if the battery isn't charged, the Bluetooth drops out. After charging the tablet, the Bluetooth started working again....It's interesting to see Marshall and Fender having similar problems with Bluetooth. I had similar problems with the iPod as well. They must be charged up. BT won't run on a low battery.
