As Thedman says above this is ZERO to do with what Android can provide and all down to what Fender prioritised.

Absolutely correct...Fender had to start somewhere. They can't just wave a magic wand and everything works all at once...it takes time for technologies to develop. If you're willing to wait it'll probably happen eventually, but I didn't want to wait, and when David Gilmore's "Shine On" preset popped up on my amp and I heard it....I realized that I now have access to the really cool presets, and a pool of the best presets developed by the community of users....this is cool !!!!! The presets that come with the GT amps are mediocre at best, but once you get into these other presets it's a whole different world.....you're looking at specialized presets that can emulate many famous songs....THAT is cool !!!!!!

I wasn't thrilled about having to buy an ios device, but now that I have the iPod, I like it. I've worked with it for a while now and like the many features it has. The reality is we don't know when Fender is going to get set up with Android or anything else. So I'm looking at the present situation....and the iPod does the trick. Now. Not six months from now, not a year from now, but now, as in right now. I guess from Fender's point of view, they had to start development somewhere. As with all new cutting edge technology, sometimes you have to wait for it to get developed. Android just isn't there yet, neither is Windows 10.

Well then they should have said "Android support will be forth coming" Go take a look at their marketing it sure doesn't paint that picture. As far as ios my compatible ipad won't connect and if you take a look at the some of the reviews I'm not alone so as of right now I'm locked out of simple and needed functions that worked fine with V II.
