First, congrats loyal Fender workers, your new gear is finally staring down our wallets!

So, if there is a cabsim on the headphone circuit output, can it be changed,
or can it be turned off? If not, is it technically possible in a firmware update?

When sending headphone output to external gear/computers that have
their own cab-sim in their chain, the 'off' option would be nice.
Perhaps not needed in every instance, but still, a sharper tool in the box.
Cheers

I will pass this sentiment along to the folks involved on this side, and thank you - we all appreciate your enthusiasm! Certainly hope you'll be planning to get out and try one soon. :-)

I bounced this one directly off the Mustang GT team - busy folks, of course, and won't be able to do that with a lot of what comes in here ... but thought it'd be nice to try and field some of these early questions in particular.

Headphones do have a cabsim, yes - and it can be switched off preset by preset (just select cabsim "none" in the amp settings for a preset).

Also, the team already senses where you're going with this question which is a desire for a more global way to turn the cabsim off within headphones (vs. preset by preset) - not a feature that exists currently, but the team will evaluate it for potential future introduction!

Thanks for finding the good news answers. I hope you used the Gigando Firmware chip,
as there are no doubt, a lot of pent-up feature requests, hopefully not to0 daft.

I've resisted many a tempting purchase since the first rumours of new models.
I'll be getting the GT240 pretty soon, since I record headphone-out and usb.
I really have no idea what my Mustang1 sounds like from it's speaker, years later,
but love the recorded results. Sometimes I preamp it lightly with
an old ART rack, like having a giant sized but tweakable tube screamer.
Cheers
