What I'm missing is how it would be ok to stream music which has a bass synthesizer track through that speaker and it's OK, doesn't void the warranty. But if you plug in an actual bass synthesizer, that is somehow more punishing and voids the warranty.

Same speaker. Same amount of bass. In order to "move air" the sound has already left the speaker. I just don't see how all that adds up to anything other than techno-mumbo-jumbo.

The output of a bass instrument, and bass cabinentry, are far different than that of finished music productions, and consumer listening speakers.

Speaker systems generally used when creating music, are quite different than those
used for listening to the results, especially those results which were properly mastered, bass instruments included, for commercial distribution, and home-entertainment systems, cars stereos,
mp3 players, dvd players, phones/earbuds etc. Some speakers are crafted to distort in
specific ways, some are designed not to distort at all, within their specs and use cases.
There is a difference between distortion, and recordings of distortion.

Do what you will with any Mustang, and enjoy to the max,
just don't expect Fender to hand out free speakers and circuit boards.
Cheers

finished music productions are typically played through a PA system, just like bass synthesizers. Not guitar amp speakers. Your mustang GT amp is no more suited to be an MP3 player than it is a bass amp.

Do what you will with any Mustang amp, just don't think those speakers are bulletproof next time you plan on cranking some Parliament Funkadelic to play along.

I've never been to anyone's home, where they listened to commercial music
on a PA. I''ve never played mp3's or bass through a Mustang,
and never encouraged anyone to do so. But it's a big world,
and there are no criminal acts associated with proper use of Mustang amps,
...well, maybe some of the presets could get you an assault charge when played
in certain venues...
