Hello all,
I'm another oldie from the UK. I started playing guitar aged 12 and have been playing ever since. Now aged 58, I think I'm starting to get the hang of it ;)

I have played throughout the UK, Europe, Middle East and even some gigs in LA

A few days ago I bought a Fender Champion 100 2x12. I rehearsed with it that night. After 2 1/2 hours the amp just stopped. I tried different mains leads, but it was shot. I swapped it next day for a Mustang 3 v2. I'm so pleased I did. The Mustang is a truly great amp. As a proud owner of a 1973 silverface Twin Reverb until last year (too heavy and too loud), I can honestly say that I have never heard modelling as good as this amp. I set up a patch based on a '65 Deluxe and my (other make) Tele sounds perfect with it.

It's good to be here :)

Stutty I respect how you point out that you are just now getting the hang of it. I played bass for about 36 years before I considered myself just about to grasp it. We both should ride the SHORT tour bus.

BrotherDave, there is SO much to learn that I feel that I will only ever just scratch the surface. Listening to the great players makes you realise just how many variations of 'guitar playing' there are ... I'm pleased and proud to be a guitarist, no matter how limited my playing may be :)
