finally getting around to graduating from "lurker" status to the big leagues. been playing off and on for 20+ years on anything with strings and currently own 12 guitars and one bass. two of which are Fenders. a 1997 squire standard tele (which is my main sweetheart) and a dg-5 acoustic in need of some tlc which i just recently acquired from a goodwill store for 9 bucks. hence, the reason i'm here; info on this little beaut and some technical help to bring her back to life.

have a good one!

Hi slinkii and welcome! Good luck with the restoration. Sometimes a $9 guitar winds up costing more than a new one in the end! But it makes a good hobby and can be educational too!

thanks and glad to be here. i think i'm going the educational route on this i suppose. i'm always tinkering with something. besides, even if it ends up on the "wall of shame", i'll have an interesting conversation piece. :)
